Löwen Prise Meganè Trophy

Thanks to @NBDESIGNZ for the decals.

I wanted to give the Trophy version a more privateer / amateur feeling than the Lexus GT3 as it is fighting a bit under the weight of the GT3 cars.
Tried to follow the shape of the design at the sides and on the hood, like a wrap shop might just cutted a white basic wrap at these lines to give it a base for the main sponsor. At the start I was thinking to abandone it, but the more I look at it, the more I get my own amateur racing idea
I have to say, when you want to do something Sport Mode compatible, the Trophy is a very friendly car. Unfortunately the last time, that it was competitive in the daily races, as far as I remember, was in Brands Hatch? Anyway, here are the results:

Early in my first days of GT Sport, I had a lucky strike with my Davidoff Vantage GT4. Liked the combination of British Racing Green with rosé gold:

After I had a better feeling for liveries, I decided to give it a update, making it more "real" and improved in my eyes the overall design of it:

Ford Mustang Group B Texaco & McLaren 650 GT3 Benetton Art Car

Two liveries, I have done some time ago:

I love old touring cars. The 1988 Sierra Cosworth RS500 was 1988 very successful, Klaus Ludwig won the DTM with this monster. As I am just about 4 month back in the GT Business, most Fords were already "reserved" with that iconic Texaco livery. So I forced the Group B Mustang to become the victim of this retro livery. All decals are pretty identic, expect of the Garrett Turbo sponsor. Had the feeling that printing on it something it doesn't have was weird, so I used Garrett as a single brand name. Please forgive me this :scared:

The McLaren 650 GT3 was another victim, this time for a art car created by my self. The Benetton main sponsor was added after the work was done, as I think this GT3 car could propably transport the idea of United colors pretty well. As I had never art lessons I have no idea, what it takes that something becomes art, but look at Baldessaris M6, no other words needed... This is on my update list as proper executed equipment sponsors could sharp his look, but I had not the time yet:

Dodge Charger & Toyota Crown Polizei München

Police, my good old friend.

The last update was gold for me. The Charger and the Crown are cars, very good known in Munich. You have to know, we have two problems. The first is BMW. There are many overworked engineers and office monkeys, who are using their now Front Wheel Drived company cars as a weapon. You see them driving with 140 km/h in town, violently ignoring red lights and pushing other cars of the road. The Police of Munich even tested 4 years ago the US Dodge Charger Patrol cars. Of course not the Hellcat version, but it was highly successfull to stop them with their bull bars. Unfortunately, the folks out there were not happy with the fuel efficency and forced the police to stop their tests. The four Chargers, which were used for the test were later sold to the middle east.
The other problem is the Octoberfest and the bag snatchers running around in the city at that time. As they normally have only one officer in their cars, they were thinking of using right hand driven cars to get better control of the situation, like jumping on the right side out of the car and have a better oversight from there. They imported 2 Crowns to test them against RHD BMWs and VWs, but the registration was too complicated. So they were scrapped after that.

I have made the two liveries, which they used for the tests:

Dodge Charger & Toyota Crown Feldjäger

I have bad memories with my time in the army, but the stuff they drive is somewhat cool. Feldjäger are the German Military Police. At the moment this post was written no Charger or Crown was in duty with them, so this is fictional. But hey, they purchased Nissan Patrols a few years ago, so who knows? :dunce:

Sometimes you have something in your head. That one crappy song, the answer to a question from a few days ago... I had the idea of the Polizei Supra in my head for weeks, but somehow other things come first. Some ideas get lost, but that one didn't. Propably this is the last Polizei Munich livery for a while, I have made enough of them :D

Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 Hapag Lloyd

The other "old lady" in the GT3 class. I like how neutral the car is and I loved the blue exhaust flames in the night at the 24h races. Inspired by the huge container ships, I made a Hapag Lloyd livery. Nothing too complicated, as I wanted once again preserve the privateer feeling of the SLS it transported in his later years. This is an updated version, made the original a few months ago:

McLaren 650S GT4 Augustiner Bräu

One bad thing about motorsport is, that only the crappiest beers are involved at sponsoring. One of my favourites is even doing no marketing at all ever, but it is also one of the most sold beers in Upper Bavaria: Augustiner Bräu. But they didn't stop me to make a racecar for GT to give you guys an example how a well tasting beer sponored race car could look. If you have another opinion regarding beer, please PM me. I will give you my adress so that you can send me examples to convience me .
To make the golden lines happen, the base paint chip is Y3 Large Flakes.

Audi R8 LMS BiFi

I tell you something. I hate Audi. They have some pretty good cars, but I don't like the typical buyer. Most of them aren't too deep into engineering of cars or have much petrol in their heads. They keep on telling, that Virtual Cockpit and the Sport Mode are soo great, the Quattro is unbeatable and the TDI is soo fast and bla bla bla. Don't get me wrong, a lot of Audi drivers out there are cool folks, but imo they are a minority.
I'm also still not a lover of the R8 in the game, as for my driving style MR cars are a bit difficult to handle. I learned driving at small gravel roads with underpowered cars, so a small Scandinavian flick at the entry or playing with the throttle towards the exit are so deep in my head I can't get rid of it. Works great with all cars in the game, except the Mid Engined ones and imho especially the R8.
Ok, let's get to business, altough of my attitude towards Audi, I made a livery. The R8 is also hard to find a proper sponsor if you try to make it Sport Mode compatible, so I have to confess that I tried many of them. This is the result of my work, the BiFi R8 (thanks for listening):

Edit, 25th of February: The R8 has grown on me and is now my favourite car for "Sprint Races". With more experience this car is really great to drive. Sometimes I have the feeling, that each Group 3 / Group 4 car has a character in it´s physic, for example the Z4/SLS AMG understeers massively on the exit, the Lexus twins have power oversteering in their code and the R8 has a very light backside on the brakes or if you provocate load change. With the DS4 this is something you can avoid and get used too, as it simply needs a change in your cornering approach. Many other characteristics are imho not so easy to overcome as you have for example a very bad feedback of the throttle in your finger compared to a foot on the loud pedal.

VW Scirocco GT4 Traton

As VW / MAN made the squeeze out to buy the last stocks of Scania, they formed a new holding to get their commercial truck business together. I have absolutley no idea which genius came up with the idea to call it Traton, but the chairmans seemed to like it. Strange people... so I made a livery to celebrate this kind of marketing/ financial bull****.

VW T1 Police Interceptor

LEC 46. Design a Sambabus. I must confess, that I have 12 ideas and already 4 concepts how to participate. It maybe the crappiest "racecar" in GTS but it is by far the best base for cool design ideas. The problem is, some members of this board are out of space with their design, so I got blown out of the water with every new entry of the competition. The concept I still like the most yet is the Police Interceptor. But I have the feeling to do something else to have at least a chance to avoid zero votes :scared:

BMW M3 E30 and Toyota AE86 Histo Cup

I'm trying to organize my racing schedule for 2020. Want to visit again Hockenheim Historic and the Histo Cup, propably at Salzburgring. I had never checked that series out and there are lots of cool cars there! Have found two very interesting looking cars I couldn't resist to try a replica.

The Toyota seems to be a beast. 1600 with 210hp, curbweight below 900kg  Think I'm not too far away to slam that livery on the hatchback. How the Avon decal on the bumber will be o.k. with the Toyos is maybe part of another story....

VW T1 Safaribulli - LEC 46

This is my entry for the LEC 46.

As most other entries lowered the ride height, I'd came up with the idea to make a offroad version. A rallye version would be too sporty, so I decided to go with a commercial safari variation. Ride height is maximum, about 280 decals were used. I focused on tiny, realistic signs of usage like scratches at the door handles and the dust a Bulli could gain when you drive with 45km/h flat out trough Africa.

I have made this quite long time ago, I made already the M4 for the LEC (feel free to check page 1 in this thread). But I was not too happy with the original version. Decided to make it new and give it a slightly more modern, Blancpain based version. I wanted to give it a few details, so it recieved realistic exhaust signs, some dirt tire wear at the wheel arches and 52 layers of death flys all over the car. Just like it had 2 hour of track action without violent enemy confrontation. Unfortunately not very good visible on the pictures.... But hey, it's my favourit touring car livery, so it deserved attention to the detail.

I love these simple designed cars. No bull**** and the essential informations on the car. Brand, Supporters, Tyrecompany and call it a day. Sleek and beautiful! And exactly suitable for guys with a low skill level like me to reproduce. Emil Frey raced I think from 2013 to 2018 a Jaguar XKR in the Blancpain series. In my eyes next to the Continental maybe the most "GT" car in that series.

Audi R8 LMS Deutsche Bahn

I hate public transport. Although in my hometown it is pretty good - modern, 90% on time and quite comfortable IF you can have a seat. Which is nearly impossible if you use it in the main hours to go to work. And there is this smell. A mixture of cheap beer, onions and the wrong deodorant brand. So I don't use them at all. Except I had some beers to be part of that smell....
But I love trains. Weird, isn't it? Inspired by the current color scheme of the Deutsche Bahn locomotives, I used the R8 which was lying around from the DWG. To make this original livery a bit more realistic, it was put in service with Phoenix Racing.

Lexus RC F DTM Emil Frey Racing

Tried to do a "What happened if" livery. Imagine, Lexus would not have asked Emil Frey Racing to run their GT3 project, instead they asked to make a DTM car out of the existing Super GT RC F. As a base I used the livery scheme used on the Jaguar XKR G3, to make it Sport Mode compatible I put the DTM plate a bit to the back of the optimum design solution:

VW T1 Deutsche Bahn BR218

In the LEC @VulcanSpirit had the fantastic idea to transform the T1 into a locomotive. Awesome! As this idea is somewhat brilliant, I decided to steal the idea and make one by my self. It had to be the BR218, in service with DB since about 40 years. Fantastic Turbodieselsound by a 2800hp MAN engine. Slowly they are being replaced, but you can still hear it´s growl sometimes at the non electrified railways in Germany.
