ok heres the deal. im trying to build up cars with perfect gear/ suspension setups. so im gonna work on ONE car at a time and post the settings, since i have nobody here to help me im asking you people to try my setups and give me ANY tips to make them better.

heres what i have for the '95 Tommy Kaira R33 (my car only has 493hp so it might not work as good for max power)

Spring Rate - 7.0, 7.0
Ride Height - 95, 98
Damper Bound - 7, 4
Damper Rebound - 7,4
Camber - 2.0, 1.0
Toe - 0.00, 0.00
Stabilizer - 3, 3

Gears
1 - 2.900
2 - 1.870
3 - 1.300
4 - 0.953
5 - 0.753
Final - 4.111
Auto - 15

this setup is pretty fast, not the best, but i have it so it will break loose a little on turns under 70mph and stick like glue on pretty much anything over that. a little understeer at high speeds, and a tiny bit of hop around banked turns, but then i prefer flat corners anyways. any comments, good or bad would be cool, if you have your own setup feel free to post it. by the way i test n tune all my cars at laguna seca, ssr5, or midfield. not that it matters  enjoy

now for my next car, the TRD3000GT, again this has 492hp

Spring Rate - 7.5, 2.0
Ride Height - 85, 90
Damper Bound - 6, 3
Damper rebound - 6, 3
Camber - 2.3, 1.0
Toe - 0.00, 0.00
Stabilizer - 4, 4

Gears
1 - 2.994
2 - 1.850
3 - 1.450
4 - 1.104
5 - 0.883
6 - 0.740
Final - 3.266
Auto - 16

ASCC - 25
TCSC - 15

same general idea as the r33, some understeer at high speeds, but can break loose some at lower speeds. i pretty much cant spin this car out unless i try to, and even when it gets sideways its very easy to control.

I hope I am not too late too answer (are you still playing GT2?)
Seeing that you don't touch the gear, you can use these gear config:

auto 1 on 4.500 final drive, move final drive to 2.500 and use these gear
1 - 3.323
2 - 2.348
3 - 1.925
4 - 1.580
5 - 2.297
these gear optimize the power band to high gear. these will make the gear shift at (using auto) 2nd,3th,4th,5th : 5367, 6235, 6235, and 6235.
if you want to experiment it yourself you can find the file that can calculate gear on https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=71569

I don't know if it works for other Gran turismo

to reduce hops, use 1.0/1.0 damper bound.
try to use 0.0/0.0 camber, use toe instead to neutralize handling
Use LSD to reduce drifting
I prefer to use 7.0/7.0 stabilizer.

I will post my complete setup after I done experimenting with the car.

haha yeah i still play, not as much as i used to but i try to get my gt on when i can :) thanks 4 ur input if i have time il try it out tonight 👍

Oops, I'm sorry, I make mistakes on gear setting, it seem using lowest 1st gear value, make it difficult to start, I am using these gear setting now:
Auto 1 on 4.700, final drive 2.500
1st: 3.600
2nd: 2.550
3rd: 1.967
4th: 1.543
5th: 1.230

old 400-1000 time : 9.734 (21.453-11.719), top speed : 197
new 400-1000 time : 9.286 (21.344-12.058), top speed : 199
I make the top speed of the new gear setting as close as possible with the old one. I think faster acceleration mostly comes from lower final drive.

Car setting (I am adjusting to my taste):
Spring Rate - 7.0, 7.0
Ride Height - 95, 95 (using same height help better handling on seattle)
Damper Bound - 1,1
Damper Rebound - 3,3
Camber - 5.0, 0.0 (using toe is not enough to make the car neutral)
Toe - -2.00, 2.00
Stabilizer - 7, 7
no LSD

I test it on GT Pacific League using 3.000 final drive, it's easy to handle and don't spin as much but still can drift :)

For TRD3000GT:
Auto 1 on 4.500, final drive 2.500, gear
2.765
2.047
1.683
1.412
1.208
1.304
most power on high gear

The suspension is hard to setup, maybe your setting is better. I find the car understeer with throtle off, goes very oversteering when powering. I just make the car very understeer, so using throtle is a must on every corner (power over).......
Spring Rate - 10.0, 10.0
Ride Height - 74, 74
Damper Bound - 1,1
Damper Rebound - 5,5
Camber - 8.0, 0.0
Toe - 2.00, -2.00
Stabilizer - 7, 7
no LSD
no ASCC
no TCTS
