The Ultimate Challenge

I have played around with formula ones since I first unlocked them 2 years ago in gran turismo 3...and now I finally decided to take the one with the widest track width, the F/090s (sorry euros, I'm not familiar with the polyphony p001 and p002, as my version of GT3 is a NTSC version for north america...although by all means feel free to contribute any information!), jack up the rear spoiler, then double the hp wth a gameshark (resulting in a positively delightful 1441hp). I ended changing some minor details here and there, particularly the sspension and LSD, as welll as slight gear changes, so the car's handling and braking are up to par with its newfound acceleration and top speed (it hits 245mph on super speedway). So my question for all is, what is your most impressive car? Tell your story.

As ironic as this may seem, I also tried this w/ the f090/s in gran turismo 3 about 2 years ago. I thought it was a blast, especially while watching the replay. My friends get a kick out of it, so when they want to have some fun, I just get them going on vs. mode w/ that car on the complex string course. Its a lot of fun to watch, because none of them are used to driving games. One other thing I tried that was pretty funny (but has absolutely NO practicality whatsoever) was to give the f686/m and give it about 40,000 hp. I then used the settings from the escudo cheat for gran turismo 2, and took it to the test course. I have hit speeds exceeding 1400 mph with it, and it looks funny too because its in a full wheelie. (the basic principle behind the escudo cheat is to change how the lsd reacts, the gearing in the tranny, and put maximum downforce on the back end of the car and reduce the downforce on the front end.) By all means, this is NOT MEANT FOR RACING (you can't steer if the front wheels aren't on the ground), but it is hillarious to see the thing screaming along at supersonic speeds.

Max's Chaser (and Thrasher CL666) are most impressive. 27 and 30 seconds respectively on Midfield. 400+mph on Test Course, with no wheelies needed.

Woah dude..where do you get off with that attitude? 👎

Many of us have enjoyed the added diminsion of hybriding for a long time. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean you should dis folks that do.

And you're right, sukerkin...this needs to be moved to the Hybrid Forum.
