Do you have a wheel that comes off from the wheelbase? It probably means the wheel is loose.I've had my paddles stop working several times recently. Accelerator, brake and steering all continue to work fine but gear changes become impossibles unless i drive with a pad on my lap to gear change on.
I do, I did not think to check that. Thanks for pointing it out - I've done it up tighter and hopefully when I manage to get on this evening it all goes well...Do you have a wheel that comes off from the wheelbase? It probably means the wheel is loose.
Thanks as always for the support. Complete PS5 re-boot and successfully managed to race at 19:00.Tried to race at 17:00 UK 🇬🇧 time and went out to set a Q time and my accelerator wouldn’t work 😳 in that it wouldn’t change gear.
Have to go again at 19:00 and hope it works 🤭🤭
Moose, great write up, how do you know your DR went up by 4%? I would be interested to know how you find that info 🥸I ran the 12 PM EDT GT2 slot in North America. A lot of familiar faces in the all B/S lobby, including @tmtk (good to see you again, 👋 ). I was in door #5, driving the Porsche, with 117 on offer.
With time only for one flying lap in qualifying, I played it pretty conservatively. At least I thought I did. I posted a 3:33.401, which is just 0.4 off the best I did in Free Practice. Somehow that landed me in Q4, a couple positions back from @tmtk.
The weather radar showed that it was going to be a dry race, so I stayed on the RMs.

The race got off to a decent start. I took Dunlop perhaps a little too cautiously, which bunched up the the cars behind me a bit, while the front three took off. I saw that @tmtk picked up an early penalty.
Meanwhile, the green Toyota behind me was getting the benefit of my slipstream. They gave me a bump once on the Mulsanne straight, but as we approached Mulsanne corner, they got past me. Down to P5.
I was promoted back to P4 as @tmtk took his penalty. Then to P3, as the green Toyota spun out exiting the Ford chicane.
The two leaders were rapid and quickly fell out of reach.
For the rest of the race I was watching my rear-view mirror, expecting @tmtk's NISMO to catch up. I figured he'd eventually get by me on a straight and I could comfortably ride the coat tails of his slipstream to a P4 finish.
It took longer than I expected, but on lap 4, @tmtk caught me, but instead of flying by, he gave me a push.

Thanks for that, @tmtk!
We stayed pretty close after that. I build a bit of a gap in the corners and he'd close it again on the straights.
I crossed the line in P3 for 107 points and a 4% DR gain. A happy end to the season.

I've been using DG Edge lately, but you can also look it up on your profile page on the Gran Turismo website. Neither one shows the percentage as numerical value, but they both show a progress bar and if you use your browser's built-in inspection tool, you can get the numerical value.Moose, great write up, how do you know your DR went up by 4%? Thanks in advance 🫶🏻🫶🏻😇
This is double shifting. I just copy what others have figured out but I guess some cars have torque cures and gearing that allow to skip a gear by rapidly hitting the upshift paddle/button. The car still accelerates just as well, sometimes with less wheel spin and some more stabilty on corner exit, and and saves some time on a gear shift. What's the deal with the gears/shifting in the GT-R? The replay of the top time on the leaderboard shifts straight from 3rd to 5th.
