Excellent!

Thank you,

Jon…

Not a problem!

Apologies to everyone and lack of videos past 2 days, the review took me longer to edit than first thought, and it's taken me 6/7 renders because it kept crashing! It should hopefully be out tomorrow with PUREs JGTS round 5 should be coming out on Christmas Day! Prep'd just incase you have a spare hour or 2 and you want some good old fashioned racing entertainment!

Evening All!

Merry Christmas everyone, have a good one and make sure if your spending time with family you treasure it, it's the best present you could wish for!!

Back to videos!

I was expecting this out alot earlier this evening, but the power company decided to turn all the electric off when I was uploading :(!! But, I've stayed up since it's come back on and luckily youtube saved 50% of the upload (For the win!). So the GT6 first review/impressions has arrived! I've tried to keep it into 10 minutes which is what all other racing reviews will also come under! The following are the time stamps that may help if your after a particular section :)!

Key Parts;

Physics: 00:06
Graphics: 02:02
Sound: 03:44
A.I.: 04:27
Multi-player: 05:19
Game Specific: 06:10
Overall: 09:30

Enjoy,

Evening All,

I've updated the main thread with an S Career section and I'm now in the process of uploading those videos!! The first 3 are up though and are linked below! If you haven't already checked out the GT6 Review above, it's well worth a watch!

I also hope you all had a really good christmas, and make sure you prep up for New Years Eve :)!!

Enjoy!

Hello, Thanks for all of your great work in the GT Series! I was wondering if you would consider doing a couple tutorials for the GT6 GTP Registry Qualifiers. I've run some laps but know that I could shave tenths off here and there with your guidance. Thanks in advance for any info offered. Cheers!

Morning All,

I've uploaded a video overnight and also S4 of the driving missions! I've updated the main thread for you but the link for the S4 driving mission;

The other video uploaded was PUREs Japanese grand touring series, there's been a bit of delay with that while uploading other videos but it's here finally and it's round 5! I realise it's a GT5 video but it really is an excellent series and a series which shows Gran Turismos true capabilities of what a good organised championship should look like and be run like!!

So do Enjoy that series;

Hey Mate, unfortunately that's the only event I can't make a guide for. What I can say though is to really think about the cars your using and try different things. I have talked about all aspects of driving in my GT5 thread if there's anything specific over you may be having trouble with.

Evening All!

Hope your well, the last of the career mode essentially is now uploaded! The last driving mission at nurburgring, I was only going to do 1 attempt at this but you'll see why it ended up as 2 in the video ;)! The reason being is that I'm not a Nurburgring specialist and I could spend hours and hours improving, but the night part is very hard, in fact at points undriveable without knowing the course (Lights issue). Still I gave it a good go :)!

The other upload is of the drifting in the final coffee break! I did give up with the wheel on this, like I've mentioned in the review and on other drifts the level of grip is so vague it can be luck whether a slide sticks or continues, and I'm finding no realism so after 40 minutes jumped on the pad and did a few runs :)!

Don't worry though, the uploads don't stop here, lots planned for 2014, so keep an eye out!! I'd also like to thank everyone who has subscribed as I hit 1,000 subscribers :D!! Big big thankyou, and I'm glad your enjoying the videos!

Enjoy!

Evening All!

I had a look at my first seasonal today. As some of you are well aware I don't really like doing the tuning seasonals as I'm not very good at tuning! However there are 2 where the car are given and I had a look at the M4 first :)! I'm a little gutted SRF is an option, but spent a little time learning the car before checking out rank 1 amos time and then looking at where I can improve. The initial result is a 2:07.5 but I can definitely drop that time as there's a fair few mistakes! I'll definitely be revisiting this though that's for sure!

Enjoy!

Evening All,

First off happy new year to those that have had it, and to those that are yet to still have it :)! 2013 for myself was an eventful year with GT Academy both nationals and European finals, and this christmas has been my first real break as all other holidays were purely for GT Academy! Regrets would be the mistakes I made there, but it's all high pressure!!

However I hope 2014 is a very good year for all off you! Learn, Race Hard, Improve and you never know where you may end up, especially if there's another GT Academy (I.E. Train now don't wait until any announcement, exercise is good for you anyway :D)!

Back to videos though, I spent a good 2 hours this afternoon on the other latest seasonal with Mario Andrettis 1948 car at the streets of Willow. I do hate SRF but I'll use it if people are using it to get near the top of course, although I'm with most people and think the aid should be removed entirely! Even so the event still requires smooth driving, I was rank 4 with this time but there's still so much time there it's crazy! Never the less enjoy the video and see you on the bright sunny side of 2014!

Evening All,

Apologies for the delay in videos I've had a rather busy 2 days being back at work and also falling asleep from it! I'm back though and this time with another seasonal event! My first attempt at the Lancia Delta Timetrial with an adaptation of a tune! Definitely need to learn tuning a little more, but that along with tips are in the description :)! I plan to run all the future seasonals and put in a good effort so take a look and enjoy!

Evening All,

Another video, and another seasonal! This time the Honda S2000! I used most of Hamis tune which can be found in the video description of the video with a few changes. That would get you to a 1:40.8xx if you pushed for it, the rank 1 is on a staggering 1:39.9xx! Definitely gives me an urge to learn tuning a little more :)!

Non the less the lap is up (1:41.855)!

Enjoy!

Evening All,

Another 2 videos have been uploaded in the past 2 days, the highlights of PURES Japanese Grand Touring Series Race 5, and also this Channel and New Year video to celebrate the channel and what happened over 2013! Look out for the hint in whats coming this year, and they'll be more videos than ever this year!

Evening All!

Tonight was GTPlanets race series, the WRS first event on GT6! We we're in 207 GTIs at Trial Mountain! I've uploaded the qualifying lap and the best race will follow tomorrow! We had 10 minutes to qualify but unfortunately didn't get a good lap out, this was my quickest however!

If you're looking to take part in the WRS make sure you go to the forum threads located over there!

GTPlanet WRS Race Forum: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/board/gtp-weekly-race-series-online-events.248/

I'll update the main post tomorrow with the new section for the WRS!

Enjoy!

Evening All,

It's FRRRIIIDDAAAYYYYY :)! So I hope you all enjoy the weekend, I'm off to the Autosport motorshow in Birmingham! But, back to GT6 and we have the last race in full filmed in real time (As it happened) in the WRS Event that was held on Wednesday!

Watch until the end, and make sure you do visit the WRS if you want some fun!

Enjoy!

Tidgney,

First of all, fantastic driving and skills! Your videos were very helpful and made me persist in obtaining gold in all challenges, missions, licences, and the Goodwood events.

As someone who is a die-hard Gran Turismo fan and has golded all challenges, I have to say that I find the Goodwood 5-3 x2010 test to be utterly idiotic and pointless (with a pad).

I am a concert pianist, used to complex sequences of intricate, quick, and precise movements of hands and fingers. I found this challenge to be very hard with a controller and felt sorry for other gamers.

After all, Gran Turismo is a game and games are meant to be enjoyable. Grinding a test like this I did not find ejoyable at all and wondered whether Mr. Yamauchi would be able to beat it himself.

I wonder what your (and other's) thoughts are on this.

Hey :),

Glad you my videos have helped you, in your quest for golds! Good work! The goodwood event 5-3 is a really, really interesting one. Now my neighbour who also plays on a pad text me saying how nuts it was, and I kinda knew it was from reading the forum. Of course I'm in somewhat more of a better situation having achieved something just as insane on GT5 with the DS3. But I did have a go the other day with the pad to get an overall view on it.

Now I think my past experience did help alot as it didn't take to long to gold, and I think that was a 29.3xx but as a challenge on a pad I do think it's some what weird. First of as you say I think most people will struggle with the car and it's handling on the pad and I can completely see that. One thing I am very confused about is the fact the challenge is MUCH more difficult than most of the game (I can't think of anything more difficult currently). Why make this challenge that difficult compared to the rest I'm a little unsure of, but I do like the fact the x2010 is at goodwood, it sort of brings to worlds into one (Unique/Dream Car vs An Epic Car Event).

I definitely think something like this needs to be in the game as I think the work of Adrian Newey and Kazunari is stunning, both striving for perfection, but maybe the difficulty and limitations of players needs to be examined to. I really, really believe that if they got some BETA testers in, some proper fans or random pick of people they could bring a game/simulator to us all that would be sensational, and something to admire!

Hi :)

Great observations! I agree with you and guess my reaction was sparked mostly by the fact that the track (Goodwood) and the car seemed to be mismatched, but also because I found this challenge to be, as you say, more difficult than anything else in the game.

Anyhow, great job with the videos! Hopefully Polyphony will come up with interesting and challenging new events for GT6 to keep a player of your level busy!

Evening All,

Apologies for the shortage of videos as of late, I'm trying out my new headset and just trying to get the right settings for my Microphone! I can however upload GT6 videos with just game sound, and here's my qualifcation lap from the WRS!! Nearly became a dirty lap, but just 2 tyres on the kerb!

Enjoy!

Evening All,

Uploaded a video earlier on, of a funny moment after qualifying in the WRS! It involved Gran Turismo decided that the qualification times didn't really matter :)!

Enjoy!

Evening All,

Another video from the WRS! This time the race that took place following on from the grid mishap :)! An epic battle between 4 top class drivers!

Enjoy!

Evening all,

Another seasonal event video for you, this time the Toyota FT-1 at Laguna Seca! A very enjoyable combination and well worth a try out! I spent about 2 hours on this achieving a 1:26.850, can definitely see alot of time there which is always good!

Any questions fire away otherwise enjoy!

Great time. Enjoying your uploads.

I was happy to get my 1:32.7 (see video on my channel) after a few laps but I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down on your time

Glad your enjoying them :)! The thing with this car is that you have to be smooth and a little aggressive, it's quite a neat combination!

Evening All,

Sorry for the delay with more 'commentary' videos, my new headsets microphone is slightly staticy, but Razer are sending me a replacement splitter, so hoepfully this weekend I'll get both of the JGTS races up! But tonight was once again GTPlanets WRS racing series, and this time we were in a GTR at Fuji! Both races will be being uploaded, but first up as usual my qualification lap!

Enjoy!

Evening All,

Both races have been uploaded :)! The first is a battle between Twissy and PASM which I was trying to hold on to, but did do what I intended on the last lap :D! Which was put in a serious effort to gain a position!

The second race involves a battle between Me, Ghostdriver and GMMatthew!

Enjoy :)!

Evening All,

Another GTP WRS video for you, this time from the first week's official time trial competition! A huge entry list, and unfortunately didn't get as much time as I'd like to have had so left 2 tenths out there, not sure I would have caught twissy though! Non the less, I did give it a good effort this Sunday and came out with this lap which led me to finish 4th!

Enjoy!

As Gene Hunt would say... FIRE UP THE QUATTRO!!!!

Great lap 👍

Great job mate! 👍 Keep them coming.

Can I ask what video editing software you use? My wife recently brought me a VCD but I only have Windows Movie Maker (lame)

Cheers :), I use Sony Vegas 10 HD, although there's some newer versions out!

Evening All or Morning to most!!

As your probably well aware, I didn't make it at GT Academy, but I still want to race, in fact just to race 1 season in a championship would be epic, so that's what I'm planning! But as I know most of you will also want to race, I'm producing a video series for it called Lets Get Real! It's a monthly series and will focus on real racing, so do make sure you check it out!! This episode I explain my budget, and my passion! For GT6 footage, check out the end of the video for an epic finale in this weeks GTP WRS race between me and @doodlemonoply

Enjoy!

Hi Tidgney,

first of all: great thread and vids ;) 👍👍👍 !

I just have a question:

At the S Coffee Break Drift Challenge, how are you able to stay at such a constant speed and angle during drifting ? Which settings do you use (I play with DS3) ?

I hope you can help me because this is the only event left for me to gold, in order to achieve 100% ...
(I really suck at drifting and have absolutely no idea what to do ! I golded the other two coffee break drift challenges only by coincidence and pure luck !)

Thanks a lot !
