Not quite a 59 but oh well, we'll take that.

Substantial improvement at Le Mans last night.

Found bucket loads of time getting through the Dunlop Chicane with more momentum and less turbo lag. Also changed the point at which I would short shift into 3rd on the Mulsanne Chicanes to a little bit after the apex rather than at the apex. This reduced a bit of understeer and allowed me to get on the power a bit earlier. Improved my line through the Porsche curves and was able to carry a bit more speed through there.

However, I absolutely butchered Arnage, almost spun out from wheel spin on the exit and probably lost a good 2-3 tenths. Also likely lost another tenth at Mulsanne corner with wheel spin on the exit, and as per usual the Ford chicanes were tense and sloppy as I could feel a good time coming up.

Going to require a monster effort to find any more time around here. We'll see how far I drop down the ranks and what the next trial is!

Jeez, had to grind out about 40 laps today (probably 70-80% of them red) to finally get a clean lap with a comfortable enough time. Hope this one stays safe, optimal is showing a 27 flat so I guess there's a bit more there if needed.....hopefully NOT needed :boggled:

I was gold yesterday at +2,91% in the viper, and today I wake up now, and is only silver, somebody improve P1 at last moment, happens to me too in the mount panorama clio haha
No way, really?! Is there any way to check online where you finished without turning on a PlayStation?

Rally Cross... I am guessing it will be more difficult than snow one... Let's see...
Bring it on!!!
Very interesting choise this one, short and explosive and that yaris i do like, feisty little bugger.
Could be surprisingly difficult but we will see,

I do like the fact that it is totally different than i expected, but it all hangs on the BoP settings i am afraid!

Soo...late for work 30 minutes but totally worth it.
I Love it!!!
PD nailed it this time!! I guess they are aware of difficulty so choice of car, Yaris , is great, it's much easier than I thought it might be.
Can't wait to finish work and go home and start grinding millisecond.
First half an hour gave this result.

Well, t=you know how to hype things up mate,
I'm very curious now, to bad i have to wait until Nokia-time this evening :lol:
Time to re-assign the handbrake again

It's so good, I might have to go to a friends house and let me use their ps4/ps5 so I can enter. Idk, we'll see. I really suck on rally tracks. Good luck to everyone who does decide to take on this challenge. However I know I won't enter the other TT that's taking place at the moment.

I'm liking the Yaris challenge, I think it'll be really tight though for Gold as Tidgney's prediction already looks shaky at a 0:47.400, I'm in Silver on a 0:47.872 after a few runs, one annoyance perhaps is that it looks like for Gold you'll need to stop before the finish line and reverse to get a decent run to the line, so consistent lapping may be fruitless as it gives you a big advantage by stopping, reversing then going.

Do you find this layout of Barcelona to be confusing? I always get mixed up and have to turn the assists on to guide me along the way. I hate doing that, because it makes me feel non-dependent. It's like a cheat to the game using all your assists. It would be better not using them, it will give you a better advantage of getting a much lower deserved lap time, :)

Good luck. Even though this is a short course, it's not a simple one for beginners of gt7.

No assists for me generally and not on this challenge, I'll need all the pinpoint throttle I can get, the key for me will be learning the track and resisting the temptation to drift around because even though it feels fun it's not fast. I played a lot of RallyCross in the Dirt games so I'm pretty confident with this layout/terrain. I can say with certainty this is no where as near as difficult as the recent Lake Louise ice rally. challenge.

Oh I've just noticed the Dodge challenge at Autopolis was my 50th Gold 🥳 (wish I'd started doing the TTs when they started now 🙃)
