Yes the Hurracan is fast but don't forget the cow livery, that's really important to be FASTER !!

Been busy with this thing called life but have snook in some TT action over the last week. I managed Gold in the Porsche food blender, currently in Silver in the S2000 and whizzed around in the Lambo at Maggiore (the Genesis offends my car sensibilities) straight into silver after 2 laps so I'm hoping Gold is in the offing in both.

I've not mentioned the Nordschleife TT because I'm very torn as to whether to even bother, I love the track but despise the car and I'm not sure I can take the heartbreak/frustration of either red laps because I'm pushing or slow laps because I'm driving like an old Vicar. Am I wrong, is it actually not that bad? Is the car not going to try and kill me on every corner? 🤔

Stay away from it, it's every bit as bad as you imagine 🤣

Unfortunately I've spent enough time in it now and am close enough to silver that I have to push for that, but part of me definitely wishes I had not bothered.

How some of you guys are ten seconds faster than me (let's not even talk about the 20 second gap to the WR) is an absolute miracle to me.

Had exactly the same time as @Barareklam at Grand Valley so dug out another .004 to get into the 2:12's. Was hoping for a tenth or two but it just wasn't happening today...

No idea how I managed to do that, but that’ll do to get my 7th gold medal (and a new best ranking ).

I was actually safely in gold during my first session, but when I saw that I was ranked 9,000th-something despite not hitting many of the curbs, I decided to go ahead and try to break my previous PB placement. Surprisingly, it didn’t take long to reach there; I think I got the lap time here after only my 3rd session, unlike the MX-5@Suzuka East combo. Originally I thought I could better this lap time after setting it because I missed the apex at Turn 8, but somehow my performance was nowhere near as close thereafter, and I could never get remotely close to the :22 mark despite seemingly doing better at hitting apexes and braking, so no replays saved for my own pleasure

This seems to be one of those TTs that are easier for me to get a gold (same for a lot of members here on the board), in spite of having 1,300 hp ready to ram the Porsche up the bull sculpture’s @$$ anytime! I think it’s due to Red Bull Ring having mostly corners where you’d just brake then steer (instead of the common brake’n’steer-simultaneously on many tracks) which meant a lot of time can be shaved by simply braking in a straight line for T1-4 and the art of precise pedal input is nullified for me. And the absence of shifting helps too.

My optimal is gold if I am not mistaken 😁

Too bad I invalidated lap 9...

@Pesselles Superb time at Lago Maggiore my friend! It's the second TT in a row that i enjoy but at the moment I'm more than 2 seconds behind you and somehow i doubt it's just the livery.

After my first session at the Valley in the S2000 i thought i still got it and can challenge you but i doubt I'll even get close to you in Italy. I'll still try another night to get the Gold at least.

But I just can't get around that unpredictable unstable murdering braking, I think it's faster than the Genesis but not yet in my hands 🤣🤣

So did hop in the other META the G70
Feels alot slower and that power restricting now and then feels kind of weird, its like it lacks power or has some invicible traction controle 🤣

But I was faster in it, tomorrow the real first stint, we will see If I can figure out Banky-Booyy..... a nightmare op pad! 🤣

Ok guys, let's do some maths!

I've compared my splits on Lago Maggiore to Tidgney (because, why not...).

	Tidgney	Pesselles	gap
S1	35.179	35.528	+0.349
S2	30.636	30.932	+0.296
S3	27.963	28.066	+0.103
S4	30.899	31.181	+0.282

Ok and?

With these kind of data, you can see where you're slower, so where your must improve your lines, your apexes, your braking points, etc.
And for me, this isn't a surprise except for S3 where I didn't expected to be that fast.
I don't pretend to be as fast as Tidgney, but I maybe could gain some tenths on the 2 firsts sectors.

If you struggle on TTs, I strongly encourage you check these gaps with the ghost your follow in addition of watching replays, and guides. This shouldl help you to improve your splits, and the final score of your laps.

Tried a bunch of others, but I turn T2 into a merry-go-round with anything FR or sometimes even MR.
Eventually went to Tidgney's Genesis, alas no cow livery. There is still some time left for me, we'll see how bad it gets when the uber-aliens show up and all the homo-sapiens decide that this is a good chance to go for personal bests.

I'll see if I'll have the motivation to chase some tenths here and there.

But you need to get a good sharp right, otherwise your time is dead.

Hello fellow time attackers (aliens and terrestrials and cats! @ScottPuss20 😅)

Lago Maggiore is IMHO the best original track in the PS4 and PS5 era of Gran Turismo, I like it very much. Also, the Human Comedy 1 hour race at it, is by miles the best event in the whole game.

So, I started this TT with a favorite car of mine: The Viper Gr.4. Meta cars are definitely not a must in this combo. I had a good time with the Viper, but I think I can't reach the 2:05's with it. I'll try another car next time.
