Yeah, stop giving advice Ed🤣.

We have a new challenger! Getting pretty close at the top, I'm getting worried big time (but not really😅).
As it turns out there should be some worry not from m2 but from C spec he got a sub 0 a 975 I believe you must fight for your crown back. I also tried today still no luck so far.

I only like to compile laps in GT7, never to beat people. So my motivation to take back P1 is pretty low, I will have to re-learn the car as I haven't touched it in well over a week.

1) if I can share a tip in exchange, it’s the hairpin. If you’re just going for gold, exit the hairpin in second. If you’re trying to find time, exiting in 1st is a way to shave 2 tenths or more.

2) And for 130R, if you’re struggling to take it flat, try learning the exact car placement of how much inside curb you need to take to consistently take it flat. Whatever you do, don’t lift!

3) Edit: while I’m here, what are your tips for the lesmos at monza? I’ve managed to never learn lesmo 1 so I always ruin my approach to Lesmo 2.
1) This is a question I have, I see really fast guys always shifting up to exit in tight corners but I just cannot find the time when I do that. I was doing this at the hairpin then went back to exiting in 1st and 1st was clearly faster. I'm a bit confused though suspect it is because I don't carry enough mid corner speed and revs drop too much vs the top guys

2) I took it flat several times and found it SLOWER than a millisecond lift as I was brushing too much speed. Likely a me thing as I tend to apex late.

3) Lesmos I am half decent at. For Lesmo 1 it's all about getting tight up against the apex and exiting early.

For Suzuka, is there a big time difference based on how much inside curb you take at degna 1? I’m not consistent enough at the start of sector 2 to figure this out myself.

1: Usually no, its more about how much you can hold the speed and back on the throttle until the braking point for degna 2. Both corners are better done with slightly earlier/less late braking, its easier to accelerate a car that is stable and carrying more speed than one that is shifting mass forwards and backwards constantly.

2: it depends on the exit line and throttle control, as you say both work, what is hard to see on the top replays is that the power is matched to very much the steering angle, the more angle the slower you press the go pedal, the less of an angle the more you can be on it more aggressively.

3: 100% with 130R I usually start my first few laps panic lifting and working up to the turn in timing

Monza (for me)

*4: Lesmo 1 is about "swooping" patiently through it and making sure I coast to the apex so its a constant power out. Lesmo 2 its always a compromise in how much speed you want in and through vs available exit. Being a long straight its usually better to lift the apex and straight back on it but you have to be consistent on the entry line.

** Also by your profile pic you look like a handsome devil!

Yeah it would not be easy to learn the car again so quickly with only 2 days left. And great job on your daily A time I say you are on top since Sirvia never saves his runs.

Whoop whoop 🥳

@Metalgear9493 @Partymix007 Back in 1, 2, 3 for the moment. 💪😁

Was about to srew another .50x through the final sector because i lost all advantage over my ghost at balls corner, but the hairpin safed that run. 🤪😂
Not sure if you are still trying this or not but would like to see you get back in the top 3 or even better I just got back to P2.

I try but the chances are very small, a great sector 3 just comes not often enough and when it comes than only when the S2 split was to slow anyway. 😂
Did a .100 yesterday with a .593 S2, later i set a new personal best at S2 with a .465 just to see my ghost flying away after the sweeper. 🤬😂

Wow I understand that so much that happened to me as well so often I would get anywhere from a 480 to a 510 then just flop on sector 3 but when I would get 580 or above I would get sector 3 to like 10 to 20 mil secs of my best sector 3. And a 465 sector 2 is insane I don't believe I've got that quick once but yeah I feel your pain there. I just hope some luck comes your way in the last couple of days.

Put some miles in at Monza in the Porsche.

I really like this time but not sure if it'll hold....🧐

Also put some extra miles on the Honda GT500 at Lago Maggiore... was still stuck at bronze with a 1:44 after a first go
For now I am closing in to gold and optimals are showing it is possible.

Need to put the time and effort in. I like these Gr.2 cars, but don't drive them often enough to actually be fast...
Also Lago Maggiore... First corner of S2 is just awful... I just can not brake consistently at the same place, or just run wide while braking... Starting to get the hang of the esses at S2. Last corner of the lap also not consistent enough...

Still have to start at Suzuka. Don't now, maybe I'll skip if the next one suits me better...

Yes, indeed. Imagine what He could reach with a better car! I spent some time with the lambo and went at the edge of gold. Then I gained 3 tenths in the very first lap with the '20 AMG...
I find Suzuka very tough, I am a touch wild and Suzuka calls for smooth inputs. The Lambo felt fast, i had it down to the edge of gold but as I pushed harder I kept binning it. Hence i settled on the Beetle to get a safe gold as you can really abuse it.

Really? :odd:

Could be a preference thing. I did try a few different ones (RC F, BRZ, R8 LMS Evo, Beetle & 911) and Huracán was what felt best to me. RC F clearly is very quick given the times people have put down but I couldn’t really extract that speed and it was particularly annoying in the hairpin where it transforms into a yacht and barely steers anymore. Anyway, maybe I should give the AMG ’20 a spin.

Hahaha... I have only chosen the Lambo because I saw you using it. 😄 I want to like it but obviously it is not best for me... Thanks for sharing! 👍

Managed to sneak into the .3s with a 2:04.397 late last night. Good enough for P50 at the time.
I think there was probably a .3 flat in there somewhere, but I wasn't able to find it in the final session.

Big struggle with this trial was getting the braking points right for the bigger braking zones. You can see in my best lap, I take 2 stabs at the brake into the hairpin of T9. Not sure if there were markers that I was just missing, felt like the braking points were just arbitrary points in between 2 marker boards.

Nice to go back to a trial where controller players can actually be competitive again, this car was a nice breath of fresh air coming from the Corvette.

Plenty of trials running at the moment, I've got a banked gold in the Gr2 so far, will have to split time between the Gr3 at Suzuka and 962C at Monza.

That's why a few times in my 04.010 lap I downshifted quickly under braking If I felt that I broke slightly too soon. This has the effect of artificially extending the braking distance as you lose some degree of stopping form If you're bouncing off the limiter.

Thanks for the shout, man! Appreciate it. The AMG felt good, it handled Degner quite comfortably and was also particularly quick through Spoon as well as Casio Triangle.

I did manage a bit of an improvement, with a moment of panic just ahead of 130R as I knew the lap was the one, messed the line up a bit but oh well. Not quite there for a top 100 but that’s fine, I think I’m kinda average to alright in Gr.3 and there are so many other drivers way better in these cars, always gets very tight and tough. Lowered the percentage a tad, so that’s cool. With that said, I’m out. ;-)

Have not made much improvements lately so this is a appreciation post for the top ranked user CRV in the Lake Maggiore TT.

I saw his best lap replay through chase cam. His driving through the lap reminded me of Max Verstappen. Just like how Max Verstappen drives to the limit & doesn't leave an inch of the kerb in order to gain a higher speed at the exit, that's what CRV was doing. Right at the edge of the physical track in all turns to gain time & speed is commendable in the way he did.

Still crazy progression at the top there at Sardegna.
My sleep was worth a lot more this week and i must say i feel better to!

So had no more early TT lappings, for the 4 tt's right now i had zero motivation to go back, Sardegna is to bad looking at my last session with 2 invalidated .4's what would have lead my into the top 100 again, but i just could'nt find the motivaton to get back at it..

Let's hope a new fresh roadcar challenge will brings the mojo back a bit.1

* good times on the boards boys, competition is getting insane last few challenges!
