Any game that has British touring cars AND german touring cars warrants me waiting outside my gameshop at 7:00am

I doubt it unless there is another motor racing championship barrign Toca that has a Primera Team. Which annoys me cuz they were my favorite team in Toca or BTTC or whatever its called.

Well, it would be based around the 2001 BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) cars, and I don't think the Primera ran last year in that series.

I'm a bit confused with who's running what regs over there at the moment - wasn't the 2001 European Touring Car Championship run to Supertourer regulations? What are the Italians and Spanish running?

It's all such a mess - again. We should blame Nissan for blowing up Group A - and Audi for killing Supertouring - mmm... odd how it's always a 4wd car killing the category....

There were primeras running in BTTC last year, but they were in the lower class cars. And they were privateer cars, they didnt seem up to much. Have you seen the MG x power touring car? that car is great. I want it in GT4 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Next to the Nissan Skyline is a blank spot for another car why would they live it like this with no car in this spot unless they were going to put a car here?

I think Codemasters wanted to get another two cars in the game but left them out what cars would they be? @Skython what do you think?

In the UK Toca is the first and in Germany its DTM and in Australia it's V8 Supercars.

I remember this game used to have old Hockenheimring or was that just the DTM & V8 Supercars version of the game or was it just PS2?

TOCA Racedriver Grid was really good on PS2, with Rally Cars, other dirt cars. I played this a lot, more tracks as well.

Did anyone else think this game got remastered seeing this thread on the first page? :embarrassed:

I posted in this thread because I didn't want to make a new thread for this game because their are few and this is the best one.

I noticed something about Oulton Park on this game the track the game uses is the Island circuit and not the GP track and they don't acknowledge this anywhere and they don't call the track Oulton Park Short because it isn't the short track would be Forest Circuit.

Why didn't codemasters just use the GP track?

It would be incredibly awesome if at some point Codemasters released a ToCA Race Driver Collection with the first 3 games remastered for PS4/XB1 in one package. Don't think I'd play any other game for weeks if that happened.

Why didn't codemasters just use the GP track?

There's a clue in the game title. TOCA is the governing body for the BTCC. It was a BTCC and support series game originally and the BTCC usually run on the Island circuit. They have also used the Fosters layout and once in the past few years the GP circuit, but traditionally it's mostly been the Island circuit. 👍

I thought it was strange they left out the GP track because some tracks on the game have short and long tracks especially the german race tracks.

Another thing the Hockeneim classic is only available on the PS2 (don't know about Xbox) and is not on the PC.

Does anybody have a list of the PC updates for this game and the changes they made?

I dont think it had any updates as it was a wholly completed game when it launched...
