Tonight, while racing on Top Gear Test Track, I was using my Nissan GTR R35 TC. I was putting in good, clean, legit laps and I started noticing they were getting lower. I started out with 1:13:xxx, but then when I had looked, I was down to 1:02:xxx. I kept playing and pushing it harder and got it down to basically 1:01:xxx almost flat. I looked up the lap times for real racers on the Test Track and they were like 1:15. That means I was fourteen seconds faster. If these were real lap times, I'd be rich. If only I could get the chance to get behind the wheel of nice cars and do it. So, what I want to know out of this, is what is your fastest lap time on the track. No X1 FGT or F1 posts though. I could care less of them. I hope to get good responses of some challenging lap times for me. To go for next time. As always,

Peace,

Try going without SRF it makes it more realistic SRF gives huge lap time boost and i get 1:30-40ish in my kart 125 :P

You were using a race car, probably on racing soft tyres,of course it's going to be faster than the road cars doing 1.15s.

As has been stated, you were driving a full bred race car (and possibly tuned), likely on racing soft tyres and there's the possibility that you ran with Skid Recovery Force on too. A road car is not going to corner like a race car (heavier, far less grip in the tyres and little to no downforce). There's also the fact that tyres in GT5 arguable are much quicker than real life tyres under the same name.

Another point to add, assuming you used a full tuned car on racing softs, it only took me a few laps to get into the low 56's, done in the GTR R35 TC same as you. That's faster than what the Renault F1 car managed in real life, so as you can see, realism has been thrown out of the window here.

Remember, the times are from a STANDING start. So you can't run lap after lap after lap after lap after lap.

Nah, that's my flat lap time. The car is fully tuned. Except for a 100 ballast in the center. I stop at starting line then take off. But yeah, I knew the times weren't actually "legit" because of all the random things GT5 has that don't correspond to real life. I didn't use any aids except ABS and driving line just as a guide.
