Okay, so now I'm at 100%, and working my way through picking up all the prize cars.

This involves a lot of ten race series, so time being precious I will generally race until I get enough of a points lead, save and then skip races.

Of late I've been skipping events where I don't like the tracks - they being (in no particular order):
- Test Course (boring, very long laps)
- SS11 (long laps, and I hate slow corners)
- Cote d'Azur (hate slow corners)
- Grand Valley Speedway (very long laps, 50/50 as to whether I'll skip)

Anyone else have tracks they'll skip in a series?

I skipped the Test Course in the GT Championships. I just went in before I done the series and took the Escudo for a quick 280 mph ride!!

I also dislike SS11 and Cote 'D Azur...

Wow! It's like you read my mind... those are the exact same tracks that I'll skip (and I'm the same 50/50 about Grand Valley). However, I don't skip SS11 and Monaco because I hate slow corners... I skip them, because I've noticed they generally take longer than the other races (usually two minutes per lap, while most races are 1:30 per lap or less). Also, most series have extra laps added for Monaco... for example, if a series has mostly 15 laps per race, and some 10 lap races, they'll make Monaco have 20 laps. Coupled with the two minute lap time, and Monaco is basically a loooooong race...

Test Course is for very obvious reasons. :D

Grand Valley is the same as the former two... long laps make for lengthy races. However, sometimes the designers seem to have been nice and will make Grand Valley a smaller amount of laps, such as 10 in a normally 15 lap race. If that is the case, then I'll race it. :)

I'd definately skip the test course, but as I'm not at 100% yet, I've still got to complete all the races! I quite like the other tracks you mentioned, especially Monaco because of the challenge it presents on almost every lap.

I tend to Skip the Test Course as well. Then come back with the over powered car and blow it away. SSR11 can be long ride as well, but at least it has "flavor" to it.

Another secret to skipping races in a long series is that if you qualify in the pole position, then quit out of it, Nobody gets the 10 points. They get their respective awards for places they held.

I've utilized this strategy combined with the "Bash the second place points holder" strategy to win the series only completing 6 races.

How can you skip Grand Valley?!! Sacriledge!

Anyway, I'm too anal about my win percentage to want to skip races!

On the Test Course I set the gear ratios high enough so that the car can't hit the redline in 6th, and then I just drink all the way along the straights, and pay attention round the corners. Had fun there in the Vitz recently, using the handbrake to get it to go sideways. Managed 200m!

Well I usally play the TT cause its easy money. I hate SS11 and Grand valley. I never race these two even though they are more exciting then the TT.

Just the long laps - don't get me wrong, it's a great circuit, but if I'm in a hurry I'll skip it.

Depends on if i which track is next and by how many points i'm up on the AI, if its test course, skip, anything else i'll race unless i dont have to

I like to skip the Test Course and Super Speedway. They take way too much out of the powertrain (oil light comes on and I lsoe power throughout series). I'll go out and take the Escudo to Test Course later and my F/687S to Super Speedway. I don't mind each otehr course. I love Monaco's challenging slow corners, and with the F1 cars, laps are in the 1:45 range.

Hey Vat_Man you hijakked my idea! :D

I was gonna do a thread about this.

And your thoughts are exactly right. All those courses you mentioned no matter how much I like them, when im tired ill just have to skip them. It just wears me down that they do the same sequence of tracks again and again and again. Ive actually fallen asleep in test course races and still won them :thatsodd:

I never skip the test course, because if i have a chance of winning there, it adds valuable points to the championship.

I hardly ever skip any races.

Cote D' Azur
Test Course (unless I got an Escudo, then I just tape the button down)
Grand Valley Speedway

I usually skip the test course and GVS. However, I have recently learned that it you at least qualify (in first place) you keep the second place car from getting all ten points for the race.
I will run most of the 5-lappers, The 10-lappers I will skip Test Course, SSR11, and GVS. Monaco is kind of growing on me. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I run a good lap at Monaco.

What is it with you people?
Am i the only one who doesn't skip the Test Course?

I don't skip any, either. I even ran the 10th race of the GT World championship all the way to make sure I could win it, then I did the start/reset trick until I got the right car, THEN I went back and ran it again as a single race to fill in the last gold trophy.

Test course is to easy, and Im sure we skip it after we all reached 100% first atleast thats what I did and I agree dont you skip some when your tired and ahead in the points???? come on mustang???
