Ever since I installed Firefox, I get this message 9 out of 10 times when I try to shut down or restarting the computer:

When the "ending program" meter goes full, it says, "______ couldn't be shut down properly", then I click "End Now". Then I do the same thing again 5 times, then the PC finally shuts down.

It doesn't do that when I try to go "Stand by". I have never seen this before I installed Firefox. A few weeks ago, I upgraded from 1.0.7 to 1.5, but it still does the same thing, except that "firefox.exe" appears as much as "XPCOM:EventReceiver".

This happens 9 out of 10 times to me, and it's really making me mad.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

First I would run wither Ad-aware or Spybot. I know there are much better programs out there, but I'll let others recomend them.

If that doesn't work I would search for the folder and see if you can delete it. If it says it is 'in progress' then do teh simple Ctrl+Alt+Dlt and close it then try deleting it.

Hell at least your computer DOES shut down after a while.... on mine when I click Shut Down it restarts :ouch:  Kinda like something has been re-written to restart the comp instead of shutting it down. :grumpy:

Hell I need a new PC anyway and plan on getting a uber kill high spec machine :scared: :sly:
