If I lock the fronts and the wheel is turned at all, when I release the brakes and the fronts hook again, definitely. Or putting a wheel off, and then coming back onto the surface without fully straightening the wheel. I try to avoid that, though.

anyone have current setting recomendations for g29 wheel? After the bug fix patch ive lost all curb feedback completely and the wheel just has a strange mix of too weak and too strong.

I'm using 10/10 as suggested by Rich. See if you like it.

Try these settings in the game:
FFB torque - 10
FFB sensitivity - 5
Vibration - 100

These settings work for me.
As Biden would say, "So....heres the teal." Lol. So its not a FEEDBACK issue per se. Its a Torque issue. I used to run it at 10/10 all the time and my hands would cramp from holding the wheel. Well after 1.50, it feels like it was dropped by 50%. In a SUPER HIGH DOWNFORCE situation.....F1, Gr.1, Gr.2 and Gr.3, the Torque feels like the old setting of 7/10. So even when I turn it all the way up, it still feels like level 7. The '20 AMG Black Series with 1038hp, RS Tires, Downforce at 250 Fr. and 450 Rr, at 180 mph, feels like the old level 5. MAYBE 5.5 at the highest. And the '16 Audi R18 Gr.1 LeMans, with RS Tires, 2800lb of downforce and at 170mph feels like level 8 - 8.5 now. When it used to be SUPER STRONG. Instead of PD turning down the cap in the game for FFB Torque, its like they capped my wheel instead at a lower level with no way to turn it up because its already on levels 10/10. And dont get me started on REGULAR CARS....😬. NO TORQUE AT ALL!!!!!

It’s kind of funny how before we had to crank our wheel to full. I can’t remember but I think I’m GT7 I’m set to 9 and 10 or it might be 10 and 10. Sounds like we got our strength unlocked so we can turn down if we’d like but now we are cranking vibration up with nowhere to go. lol. Geez
Lucky you!! They turned minen down while it was already on 10/10. So I have nowhere left to turn it up at. I'm guessing I should have unplugged the wheel before the update, or at least turned it down to 1/1. And maybe my Torque wouldnt be NEXT TO ZERO!! Dude this sucks. My G923 has become almost worthless.

10 on a G923? Wow. I used to run mine at 3 because any higher and it would clip, like the corners were just heavy. Heavy for the wheel that that is. I wouldn’t get any feedback regarding slip. Nothing just heavy. So I turned it down and it helped.

But yeah, call my crazy but I think they hopped in some Gr.3 cars, tweaked away said there that’s better and forgot to test everything.

For the most part, id use it on like 6 - 8. And sometimes id use it on 10 just to have the heavy feeling I like so much. But like I said, I only get the heavy wheel on so many cars now. Just a handful. I used to run the Spa 1 hour race in the TS020 and LOVED having it turned up to 10 because its what I got used to. And I did really well with that. But I guess PD did what THEY wanted.......again........and screw what WE WANT. Its not like we spent our money on this game for us, or anything. The only thing that bothered me was the oscillation. Other than that, 10, oh man.....MAGIC!!! I guess they wanted more people to buy Fanatec. Cause thats what I'm going to have to do now.

I hear ya now, yes, the difference in FFB strength between cars now is very wide. Some are light as a feather, others the complete opposite. I agree.

So I did figure out that when you lower a car, it gets heavier. Then SOME cars heaviness makes no sense. Like my 2600lb Chevelle with 500hp. It still feels like I'm driving a building even after lowering and tweaking the tune a little bit.

Yep, there’s something weird happening with the physics and the g pro wheel and I’m positive it’s because of the full dynamic range the wheel can provide compared to other wheels. Not saying the other wheels are bad, I think they’re great, but when they max out at 6nm you’re not going to get those crazy spikes.

Just checking in. This still sucks on the Logitech pro. I've just been playing it a bit less because it's been less fun. I try to do the weekly challenge things but that's about it. The forced feedback still feels like trash for me. I messaged PD a few times on Twitter and they didn't respond. I'm still hopeful maybe the drive hub people will allow some back end manipulation of it since I have one of those....but this change still sucks and I have not gotten used to it after over a month of trying.

Drive the boss 429 stock. Torque 7 sensitivity 1-3. Strength 11nm, filter 7, dampener off, trueforce at 100 and in game vibration at 150 or close too.

In my opinion that is a better feel. Then after that hop in a stock Daytona Coupe and you’ll wonder if you wheel shut itself off. It’s so bizarre and I think they need to look into updating it some. I thought before the cars had a little too much strength or steering weight differences, it was mostly tire compound related, now it seems car related and you can affect the FFB a lot with suspension settings and weight. Not necessarily a bad thing but it just seems to drastic of a change from car to car for me.

I’m just putting up with feather light steering in the Daytona and other cars because I despise constantly changing settings from car to car. There’s 450 cars in the game I shouldn’t need nor want to try and remember how I like each car to feel with what settings. I don’t mind different FEEL but the different steering weight is getting to me a little.

The thing is the Daytona will feel feather light but then it can surprise you at times with strong FFB. Torque at 7 it’s doable but if you go torque at 10 sometimes it can really surprise you despite the general feel between 7 and 10 on torque is very similar, it’s when the FFB kicks in that it’ll test your wrist strength.

Super annoying.

Same. I rarely play GT7 now. A few races it can feel fine and I wonder if it was all in my head. Then I do a Group 1 race and the torque and FFB varies so much in lap and then the wheel oscillates so much on high-speed straightaways.

I don't want to have to make or changes settings and profiles for different cars let alone different classes of cars. I only like to deep dive into settings and configs once. Its too time consuming and joyless otherwise. What's even more infurating is how PD hasn't acknowledged how rotten they've made it now. They spend more time fixing harmless jelly bouncy cars than they have fixed the game for people who plopped down money on hardware due to their (former) love of the game.

Apparently they are immune to both online requests for help or bullying.

I haven't been able to get anything consistent on the Logitech Pro,It still sucks and I have tried everything. I have given up at this point and it seems they dont care.Been in touch with Logitech support and to no avail , no ones heard anything back from PD either. I haven't turned it on in weeks but just wanted to check back here to see if anything may have changed. Guess not .. still crap. Truly appreciate everyones feedback here in the discussion since this started and we all cant be wrong.I dedicated and now waisted sooo much time, money and effort for this nonsense. Think its time to retire it.

It is upsetting that an update can drastically change how the wheel feels. I’ve adopted the mindset of just dealing with it. They can fix their game or not, I’ll race it until something else comes out. We’re lacking tracks, they’ve mucked around with how the wheel or cars feel, there’s no support line or feedback box for Polyphony Digital. So when something better comes around… and it will, I’ll be playing that. This happened to me with GT6. Felt overwhelmed by having to re-earn all of the cars, the tire squeal sounds were horrendous and almost comical and then project cars came out. Never touched gt6. Funny thing is, apparently a lot of the issues were fixed later on.

Make your damn game, test it, tweak it, sort it out, then release it. It either does good or it bombs. But basically changing the game after release is going to please some and upset others.

Activision was doing his with call of duty, plunder would be 4 players, great we always have a group of four, then an update, plunder was now three on a team. WTF. Then they’d update again and make it 4 per team. So frustrating.

Boss429 has a ton of feel to it, Daytona coupe feels dead. The Daytona used to be one of my favourites.

I just made an account on this site just to post on this thread.... WTF is going on? Iv been lurking this thread waiting for a fix.. the game sucks to play now.... this thread has 30K+ views, I bet theres a lot of people like me without accounts that are extremely frustrated... FIX THE ****** FEEDBACK I PAID THOUSANDS FOR THE RIG

Agree.
I’ve been keeping an eye on this thread since returning to the game last week and I cannot believe how bad the lack of True force is now.
Also it’s so inconsistent across differing cars. (Maybe that’s intentional.)

Almost completely switched me off the game but what has saved it for me is I had some pedal rumble motors from Sim3D that never got around to installing.
Got that running with simhub via a laptop and I think even just the simple fact that I now the get the rumble back from the gear shift has made the biggest difference.
I get some wheel slip and lock and minor rumble now in the pedals but honestly had underestimated how much the gear shift feedback adds.
Playing solely in PSVR2 if that makes a difference.

I know this won’t be an option for some and the delivery times are quite high from Sim3D but wanted to share this has made a big difference for me and whilst I’m still unhappy with the recent changes, it’s meant I can carry on playing in the hope they fix the TF implementation again.

I bought a buttkicker gamer pro after they dropped 1.49. It helped a ton but it still isn't the same as the pre-1.49 good strong true force.

At this point I'm probably going to build a VR PC for my psvr2 adapter and move on to ascetto corsa Evo early next year for my rig setup.

It's a shame there has been radio silence on this. I continue to play it but it is a much crappier user experience for me. I have more wobble, less satisfying feedback, more pain in the ass micro managing differences between cars (time wasted).

It's just a fairly significant reduction in fun and satisfaction with the game and my setup.

I have SimHub and 8 pucks, my seat and pedals are quite active and I’ve noticed the difference in the wheel. My biggest gripe is how stupid light some cars feel and how heavy others feel. I thought it was too much before the update but lived with it on one setting, now it’s even further apart. Why is the Daytona coupe so light and dead feeling but the boss 429 is heavier and just about perfect for feedback? The Daytona makes me wonder if my wheel is on. I want FFB on every car, I want to know what’s going on with the car.

Totally agree with you both.
I am toying with the idea of moving across to PC VR too with the PSVR2 adapter and ACC or AC Evo seems a good place to end up but I am concerned about the constant messing of settings to get VR performing right. Let alone the cost!

PSVR2 just works, is plug and play and that is one of the huge benefits of the system.

I am also thinking about moving to pcvr with the psvr2, guys what should be my gpu target do you think? I am thinking about 4070ti super

I can tell you I have a entry level 4060 and it wasn't enough to run half life alyx smoothly without lowering in game graphics and the resolution. 4070ti super will probably get the job done comfortably.

Evo releases sometime in November so i figure I'll wait a few months and decide then what a good value/cost setup is for myself.

Gt7 is my favorite racing game. But we are unfortunately unable to control much on our setups bc it's console.

I'm still hoping to hear from drivehub people about a way to adjust the true force via the backend. They initially had a way to adjust the torque to max and if they allow something similar for true force/ffb I can at least dial it in myself when it's too weak.

anyone have current setting recomendations for g29 wheel? After the bug fix patch ive lost all curb feedback completely and the wheel just has a strange mix of too weak and too strong.
i do 10/10. i used to do 2/10 as the feedback would fight me too much. with new update it seems 10/10 is more real feeling. but the tomahawk and a hand full of other ridiculous high speed cars are still to strong. getting feedback of the tires is key vs fighting the wheel.
