Congrats on the improvement Homes. Did some improvement myself tonight. Down to 1:32.756. Got me to 166th which is pretty much where I was last night, lol. Still leaving alot of time on the track, mainly the back half.

I know what you mean about the back half. It drives me crazy. Sometimes I'm a whole second to the good coming out of the tunnel, and then I figure out how to lose it all on the way home.

Down to 1:36.092 which is 1782 place right now.

Eventually I'm gonna nail the last few turns and knock a bunch off of my current time. Either that or I'll just continue swearing at my TV every few minutes.

i try and not tune if i can..... my elise has everything done to it with this setup:-

ballst+130

aero _ full

power _ 73.6%

transmission_ reset to default and then put max speed to 149

everything else untouched. currently at 16th

For first attempt I tried the Autobacs Garaiya for an easy 1:37.x.

I reduced the aero 5 clicks each end then added ballast to bring down pp. I think it was about 130 kg. The only other change was brake bias to 3/1 as I don't use ABS. Great car.

I'm not pissed that other people post tunes, the more the better. What does piss me off is people taking shots at me when I have done nothing to them. The high performance G37 is an easy gold @500PP for anyone struggling to get gold. The motor sport ELISE '99 is good for gold as well @500PP.

As always, for 500PP on sport hard tires (if you don't want to use a race car, which I don't) I go straight for the Amuse S2000 R1. No suspension tuning required. Just add a little power to reach 500PP and use adjustable tranny set to 170mph. (You could go lower for this track but I didn't mess with it.)

After a few laps I did 1:35.646 with time left in every corner. I consider that decent for a car with no downforce and my inconsistent driving.

I doubt I'll do any more laps though. I don't have the patience for TT grinding.

And let me say thanks to PD for a set of TTs that use different cars. I think the 500PP should have been street cars only but that's picking nits...

1) Reset.
2) Put the Last Gear full right.
3) set max speed to 210 kmh.
4) Set the gears.
5) set the Last Gear.

Edit: Max Speed in Miles is 130.

KB, your tune helped me out lots!! It's now my driving error (like it wasn't before...lol). I can keep up and pass one of the top 10's ghost loaded but lose him halfway through.

I was a 1:34.285, I know this tune can get me much better. Learning lots here.

Also I don't know if you saw it earlier KB, but massive thanks for sharing the tune. I'm clueless when it comes to tuning in GT5 and I wouldn't even bother trying the TT if it weren't for people kind enough to share their tunes.

I have trouble with that one and the 2 before that. Trying to get it smooth. Tried gearing down, not gearing down, etc...

The corner after the first tunnel is where it all falls apart and he pulls away.

I might be able to improve to a low 1:33 or a high 1:32 at the most, but that's really all you can do when you're using a DS3 and have little experience with actual racing.

I'll try Gerchu's Elise tune and see what that does.

Dunno if anyone cares about the K cars TT but I got 67th in it with a 1:24.694 in a OFC . Had a lap where I was .2 up but it got red for using the outside dirt before the last turn .

Bought another Elise 04 and RM'd it. Now using KB's tune (thanks) along with a tweak here and there, and am now #706 .......1:34.202.
Will never get into the 1st 200 or so, historically usually sit around 4 sec's off the pace.
Think I can improve on my 1:34.202 though. At least I am coming first amongst my friends who are doing it.

I did a 1:33.1xx but the stupid registration error showed up , so my time did not get recorded. I'm sitting on 1:33.9xx but this was done on the 2nd try with that tune.

No one said anything about you...AT ALL.....a bit like the occasion when I said something in another thread which did not mention you whatsoever and you somehow figured I was wanting to 'take you outside' and responded with fighting words....seriously, get over yourself and as suggested by my compatriot...go have a cuddle. Similar posts in many threads suggest that you really do need a nice hug and a kiss.

BOT.... nice to see some variety in the TT's, and I don't really give a rat's whether the 2J is the preferred option of most...it's a great change up into the K cars and other PP rated cares. I used Clueless Tunes Honda Beat '91 and first time around came in under by four seconds. Certainly a different car for me to drive, I will be spending some time with this one on my other accounts and see how far down I can take it.
