I am in the process of changing waterpumps on my 97z and will change one or two of my pulleys to underdrive pulleys.  Gm has a crank balancer which is lighter and I believe smaller in diameter than the stock unit and I plan on changing to the lighter crank balancer to loosen up some power from the heavier stock unit.
There is also an alternater underdrive pulley available for the z but my question is will the two pulleys together be too much underdrive for the accessories???
Iv e asked on other forums about this and one said that it would kill the alternator with both.  Another said it would be ok to use both and no harm to emissions etc.
Now Im pretty mechanically inclined but this is one subject Im not too sure about.
Any ideas from the gurus of the game.
Any answer would be a big help in deciding.
I know this is not the forum for this type of question, so I hope you dont mind Jordan.
If I can free a few more ponies from the z the better I like.

Hey, Misnblu, this is the test forum. You can talk about politics in Thailand if you want, I don't care! The same thing goes for the Rumble Strip - there is no subject whatsoever.

As for your question...I'm more mechanically inclined than you, so I won't be much help here. :)
