Well, the Altima is only about 175lbs heavier with the VQ in it instead of the QR, so shouldn't be too bad. Don't get me wrong, 175lbs isn't a tiny bit of weight, especially in a car that small. But, its not as if the car is now 500lbs heavier. Should get along just fine.PunkRockI wonder how the handling's been affected...
PunkRockVQ35 Swap (out of a Maxima/Altima) in an SE-R, which usually has the QR25 (also found in lesser Altimas)

Not trying to start any crap, but I don't think its THAT light. Like I said in my second post, the Altima, which is available with both of the engines in question, weighs just over 175lbs more with the VQ. I don't doubt that the VQ is a fairly light V6 engine, being that its all aluminum. But, its a good chunk more engine than the inline-4 QR.RobcioPLThe engine only weighs an extra 50lbs, not even.

Either way though, I agreed with you. I doubt the engine added enough weight to the car to throw it off the scale of decent handling.
