Season is all wrapped up, and it was a super successful season. So this post will be used to acknowledge the Season 7 Champions, as well as various notes on the season as we wrap up our summer. First off I want to thank everyone that showed up for any part of the season. The average attendance for the season finished just under 18 per race, which was something astonishing to see. Everyone made this season great, especially in a season where there were a lot of new things and a lot of firsts. You all helped make it run as smooth as it could be, and I am grateful for that.
There are changes on the horizon, both with the series and with VRR as a whole. For Super GT, the transition away from GT3 machinery will be complete. Season 8 will be composed of PD-based machinery, meaning that this season will be the last for Mercedes and BMW. Moving towards PD-created vehicles, we believe, will keep the GT300 Class on more level terms than what we've seen at latter stages of seasons in the past. It's going to be fun and interesting seeing what cars end up in the GT300 list next season. GT500 will also become harder to access, with the class being restricted to only Diamond and Gold drivers.
On the VRR changes front, we are preparing ourselves for the new console generation, and the new opportunities that come with it. We've been going for over five years now, and some refreshes have been needed. We have a new logo, which will now be in effect once the Supercup season ends this weekend. I've also started tasking members of the community to explore other games outside of Gran Turismo to see where we can expand and bring our level of competition. Games like Assetto Corsa Competizione are on our radar, and we hope we can offer more info on those plans soon.
Finally, our Fall 2020 season has been left open, and the VRR community has decided to do an experiment. For the first time, the headlining championship for the series will be a D2 championship, and we'll be running a TCR series for the first time. It'll be a shorter season, with 6 weekends instead of 8. Each weekend will be composed of three 50 mile races, and as TCR is, it'll be down to FF-platform Gr.4 machines. It's going to be an interesting experiment, and I hope to see many of you return as we give it a try. All of that out of the way, here's the final standings!

VRR has a Discord server, so that’s a start. Each driver starts at a Silver driver rating, and requirements of drivers entering the series will be in an order of those who ran this season will get first dibs at an entry. This championship won’t be run until next summer, but there are other VRR Championships that will be run. @Eva is the person to get in contact with.
