A hybrid is a car made using game shark codes. You could, in theory, put a Vette engine in an Elise and give it Viper tires.

You can also use a sharkport/x-port. Here is my definition.
A hyrbid is a car in GT3 that you can make using parts from other cars. You can put a Viper engine in an Acura RSX, make it 4wd, put a different car's suspension on it, etc. You can do this by using any code device (gamshark, codebreaker, etc) or using the Sharkport/X-port with MKS method (which is the easiest and fastest and highly reccomended).
