Feel free to share anything regarding how the automotive world has changed over the last years.

Saw this on maps and wanted to share.
We live in the ruins of a greater civilisation.

Ohh! The smart dealership acquired an unusual inventory item when it was nearly new and now they don't exist any more?

I don't really follow any of this.

Could you perhaps have explained what's in the images in your first post? I know they say that a picture speaks a thousand words, but two contextless images aside from the years under the heading "the ruins of a greater civilization" don't really explain much.

All I can see is a Mercedes dealership from some random location going from piss-poor air quality to relatively clear air in ten(ish) years. Which I guess says a lot for emissions regulations, but I don't know how the former is greater if that's what you're trying to say.

There is one sedan visible in the first picture and one sedan visible in the second. The biggest change is that the wagons have largely been replaced by SUVs and crossovers.

I’m sure I’ve mentioned noticing this at my local Mazda dealership. Only BT-50s have been displayed outside for over five years.

Wow, automobiles that are not BT-50s.

Yep, I did. From the Mazda CX/MX discussion thread:
It’s funny about the SUV CUV thing being a big deal, but at my local Mazda dealer, it’s currently been more like a BT-50 only dealer. Can’t say I’ve been seeing many Mazda CX vehicles. Think I’ve only seen one CX-8. Literally looks like an inflated Mazda6 wagon.

Probably doesn’t help that this particular automotive group, sell Subaru and Peugeot on one side and KIA and Audi on the other.

The local Mitsubishi dealership down the road finally removed their Ralliart branding, after years of seemingly exclusively displaying SUVs.

On the other hand, there's a Honda dealership in a separate part of town with some classics permanently on display:

It's an old picture (borrowed from Google Maps), but the NA1 is still there.
