The Car:

Nissan 350Z. Fully modded.

The Track:

Apricot Hill

The Race:

Arcade Mode, Single Race, Beginner (2 lapper)

The Rules:

1. 2 tires on the track at all times.
2. Rumble Strips are considered part of the track.
3. No short cutting.
4. Keep contact with the AI to a minimum.
5. Contact with the AI that is advantagous to you is illegal.
6. No hybrids.
7. Save your replay.

Time Discussion:

Discuss all "T" times and you may also discuss Lap 1 or Lap 2. Just be careful if you don't want to give away your total time.

The Deadline: Monday at Midnight (Mountain Standard Time USA) the 16th of December.
 
Just as a point of confirmation for us Europeans with PAL...
Is the 350Z the Nissan Concept that you can only win?

It probably is but it's best to make sure before I get TOO carried away.
 
Yes, the 350Z is the one you can only win..I dont remember where though...

Ugh and again a race that involves settings:banghead:
 
Man, if I only had access to my PS2 this week, I have a killer setup for the 350Z that I have tweaked and tweaked and tweaked for a longtime. . . :(

Try setting the suspension quite stiff - although I do tend to have the front slightly softer than the rear. I've set the bound/rebound to max, lowered it to about 58mm and i think it handles reasonably well. It's a bit tail-happy, tho, and so it still needs working but it's not too bad.
I don't claim to be a setup genius but I've got this almost figured (I think)
 
Lol, I just started racing and the first part is very but very hard to avoid AI contact..its not impossible though..but geeze..you matchup against GT40, Toyota Road Car LM, R350LM, etc :lol:
 
Where do you win that again? I hybrided mine...
 
Well I guess I'm gonna be the one who posts T times first so that the rest of the racers can crush me :) well here they are:

Oh and remember, no qualifying permitted on the weekly's races :)
 
Z Concept, eh? I might have to run a few races in order to get it (I checked my file recently and found that I only have $150,000 approximately, so I think I'll need a bit more). I'm not sure; is that car FR or FF?

I don't know much about tunning, so I hope to lurk on some of the more skilled drivers conversation. So please don't keep it to yourself. ;)
But first, off to win that Nissan Z Concept.
 
Hi all!

My lap 2 T2 times are about ´53 seconds. Haven´t really tried this yet, but I think that I have a good setup now. It handles pretty good, but the tail of the car wants to live its own life :) I think that this is going to be a good race. I don´t know.. Now I´m going to study to my tomorrows test. Good luck to you all. 👍

And BTW: Are you guys driving with dualshock or with a steering wheel?

Thanks danoff, but I knew that. ;) Amateur League, GT World Championship is where you can win the Nissan Z Concept (plus, as Sough mentioned, all gold on the IB).

well, I use a dualshock2 controller, but it doesn't matter which one you use...
 
I dont have the Nissan 350Z:( .
As someone said B4 u can get it in Amateur League, GT World Championship but I tried and got a Razo Silvia. Do you have to win all the races in the series? I won all xcept 2 getting 74 points.

nah you just have to win enough races to get first place in the championship and hope it selects the z........or you could push restart just as its about to select the car, then as the ps2 is loading hold L2 and R2 then u can push x as the car selecter moves slowly aound and get the exact car you want:D if that helps:D

filmfan: The way to do this is to run the first 7 or 8 races, until there is no way you can lose based on the points (i.e. 30 points ahead after race 7, or 20 points ahead after race 8 etc). Then do a game save from within the series (instead of hitting "Next" after the race, scroll across to the " Save Game" icon). Then start each of the remaining races, and immediately exit the race (but not the series). If you start and then "exit" the race, it's just as if you finished last. But if you already have enough points to win the series, so what. When you get to the end, if you don't win the Z concept, reload the game. You will start again in the series where you left off. Start and exit each of the races again. It took me ten tries to win the Z Concept, (5 GT Ones, 3 RX8s, and 1 Razo) but after running the first nine races (I wanted the extra 20k cr, and I was having a ball in my 787b) it was only a couple of minutes per try.

Hi guys, just thought I'd drop in here and let everyone know im not dead :) Just kinda been out of the GT3 scene lately, too many other games have kept me away...project gotham 2 on xbox, tokyo xtreme racer 3 on ps2, and NFS: underground on my pc...haha Plus after the BC i just kinda got burned out.
But ive been feeling that craving start to rise again, so i sat down tonight and had a few runs on this, cuz i love apricot hill, and i love the 350Z :)

Im a bit out of the loop, but its slowly coming back to me, so far my times are pretty much right where HienrichII is. lap 1: 18.8/32.2/58.7, lap 2: 11.8/25.2/51.5

Not too shabby for starters i guess, hopefully i can improve. i see at LEAST a good half a second coming off my first lap, cuz ive seen it on a dirty lap. Regardless of what happens. i am gonna try to get a time in this week, no matter what it is, this pro class (whoops sorry, Division 1, i have been gone for awhile. hehe) has been lookin a little slim lately.
