You're welcome!
This is probably the biggest reason whey I come to GTP and don't do social media. Each contribution is unique, there's very little repetition. The language is respectful which is a huge bonus for me and there's no spam or porn or just plain nonsense.

EDIT: I should add that I'd like more than just a "like" option. RD has a small selection of options including beer, agree, disagree etc. I know why it's kept simple around here but I do wish we had some more options to be a little more discriminating with our support. Nothing over the top, not even a dislike button but just a few more fun options. I know there's many times I'd like to tag something with funny or beer!!!

Cheeky suggestion, can we get Twitch/YouTube field in the usernames section, just like how we have Instagram right now? 🙏🏻

Congratulations on the update. It’s a bit overwhelming to be honest🤪 Here is my two cents:

I would love to see sandwich menu on mobile to be able quickly jump to forum from the news page. The way how you can open sub menu from forum but not from the home page is super counter intuitive.
Home page is missing article pictures. It’s very text heavy and I’m not sure if it’s very useful to see who posted the article.
Not a fan of popular articles or whatever this is on the top of the home page. Again, is it that important to put it as the very first thing on the website?
Very happy about dark theme and gif/reaction support 👍

Happy Ftw GIF

With all due respect to the other features, and acknowledging the work that went into them, the GIPHY integration is by far the best addition to the site.

No more having to navigate their awful website opening thirteen tabs of one gif just to access the image web address so I can put it in my post... and then find out that the link doesn't work with the insert image feature 😤

Looks great! First bug I found is being unable to login with Facebook or Google.

I see there's now a Reactions Score on my profile:
1624208993577.png

Does that mean there's now a Reactions leaderboard anywhere? 👀

We have one on the Codemasters forum (which is powered by Invision) and it's always fun to see who has "won the day", or has the most reactions within a week, month or all-time.

Nice way of displaying who the most helpful community members are 🙂

There are so many new features that I went back to "Light" mode for now. Once I get used to everything else, I'll switch to the Dark Side.

Thanks for keeping things fresh for us, @Jordan.

EDIT:
The Subscribed Threads and Latest Posts at the top of the main forum are a neat idea and work really well for me.

That is a seriously impressive update. Congratulations on what seems to be a decent step forward. I am looking forward to seeing it in regular action.

I could see Gif spamming becoming a potential issue. Hopefully it doesn't happen but that is worth keeping your eye on.

Nice to see it's finally here! Right off the bat, it looks good, I love the dark mode and I especially love how it can be turned on and off at the bottom of the page. Already used the search feature some and I am glad to see this in place. Threadloom was a nice try I guess, but to be honest, I never liked it much from the start, I almost never found myself wanting to use it and quite frankly, I won't miss it much. This new one is sooo much better! 👍

Only thing I am not totally okay with so far is the old smilies being replaced. I am okay with having new ones added, but I liked the old ones, they were pretty unique and there was nothing wrong with them in my eyes and I see little reason to replace them instead of just keeping them. My signature looks a little weird without the old bowdown emoji , I am sure other posts do too, and I noticed theirs no substitute for :indiff:. Not a huge deal really, but I do wish we still had them.

So overall, while I haven't been on a whole lot yet and it's going to take some getting used to, I am impressed with it so far! Keep up the good work! 👍

Overall I'm pretty happy with this update but a couple details bother me and have thrown off the aesthetic, mostly graphical and color related.

The new graphics along the left side of the forum list (the folder and conversation bubbles) are pretty ugly in my opinion and don't vibe with the rest of the site. The symbols themselves seem off and the color is very wrong. That color in particular is notable - there are at least five shades of yellow that I can see going on and that's just too much. We've got the "site update" banner, the page number line, the Premium logo, the "messages have been posted since" banner at the bottom, and of course the folder and conversation icons on the main forum list. The colors of these things range from the comforting manila-yellow of the page numbers and "new messages" banner at the bottom - which would be appropriate for a folder or conversation bubble icon - to the blinding yellow of the folder and conversation bubble icons which of course would be appropriate for the Premium logo or, you know, a caution sign on the highway.

Gotta be honest, this color inconsistency and at least one of those shades ☀️😎 is atrocious. For years, GTP has had simple and mature graphics and color with muted tones and good consistency but these features in particular stand out and are very distracting. Pretty sure they're the only things I don't like about the update. I don't want GTP to look like some run-of-the-mill forum with graphics designed by a highschooler - the site has had high UI standards for a long time and these details really do matter.

Edit: It appears there is also a glitch with the user online status icon that I accidentally screen capped. The icon is appearing right in the center at the bottom of avatars which is super goofy and doesn't vibe with the nicely stacked username and info list below it. I think this logo should definitely appear in a horizontal format either next to the user name or next to the Premium logo and should say simply "Online" and/or "Offline". Both of those words are around the same length as "Premium" and might look nice next to that logo or replacing it if it isn't applicable. @Jordan @Famine

I noticed you can now have a horizontal line running across a post, seems like it could really help giving some posts a cleaner look and make them easier to format.

Question: What's the maximum size the profile backgrounds use? I am wanting to resize a picture to fit more appropriately on my profile because the one I have one in mind is currently too large.

Hmm, I'll be honest I'm not sure about all this atm, I'm old with OCD & don't like change.

Can't take away the amount of work & effort that has gone into this update though @Jordan so well done, I'm sure it'll grow on me after a while.

Just don't become like Samsung that feels the need to completely change my phone layout with every update :)

One thing I noticed is missing is the ability to jump a few pages at a time, was a useful feature when you wanted to skip through a pointless argument that ran on & on.

Edit: just noticed the goto option, a few more button presses than before but it'll do.

Hate change :)

@Jordan When checking the people who voted for a particular option on a poll with the dark mode, it's impossible to read the names as the background of the drop-down tab and the text are both white.

The website looks a lot better now that my eyes are not being fried by light mode anymore.

One question for @Jordan - regarding the Self-Service Account Name Changes update, does the below section of the Frequently Asked Questions still apply? There's a username in question that I would like that does fit the requirements listed below (and yes, I would get Premium for it as I do not have that yet.)

Code:
If you want a name that has already been registered (please search for available usernames
before sending your change request),
that name can be reclaimed if the user in question has not been active on the site within 2 years
and has less than 20 posts.

If you click on the square with 3 dots a drop-down menu appears with the option to skip to a specific page.
