What is a sharkport?

You should have posted this in the Skarkport thread. Anyway a sharkport allows your PS2 to communicate with your computer. It allows you to upload your gamesaves from your memory card to your computer and allows you to download files to your memory card. You can also minipulate things in GT3 (making hybrids)...

A great program to supplement your Sharkport should you decide to get one, is the MK Program. It allows you to edit your garage in GT3 to make hybrids and to write your own garage. It's very versatile and comes complete with 'help' functions.

Here is a link to the MK Program.

hmm, if i do get the sharkport, is there a way i can convert the replays to mpeg, avi, etc.?
If i can, can someone post the sites where i can download the programs?? thx

there seems to be a bit of confusion. All that the sharkport exports is a small < 100k file. It contains a list of vectors that are analyzed by the PS2. This is rebuilt and the cars are matched up according to the code.

If you're looking to make Movies of the replays, you'll need a Video card that supports "TV out". Often reffered to as a "TV tuner Card."
