The R34 is probably the fastest fully modded and also the best of the three Touring Cars when stock. Always preferred the look of the R33 though. The R32 is not good as a Touring Car - just got constant understeer with it and to add to the complexity it has a dodgy chase cam view.

The chase cam on the R32 is placed so you can't see some of the rear.. This is because they used the default camera for all the cars.. And the Skylines got smaller every generation.

The R35 is the biggest of them all, so they didn't get smaller every generation ^^. You should buy them all.

The R35 isn't a Skyline though. I agree though. Get them all.

Personally I prefer the R34.

I think it sharing the "R" in it's internal code name from Nissan allows it to be a skyline.

But of course, we all refer to Skylines as GT-Rs anyway, so it's kind of moot.

The R34 from the classics is my choice.

Owned a 33 for 5 yrs but would have to say 32 all the way. 33 is a bit fat, 34 is too playstation, 32 is the drivers choice

In terms of overall performance, they got better with every generation, so the R34 is the best of the bunch, especially with a Mine's version that has some handy downforce.

Personally I prefer the R33 though.

What tires are you using? If anything I think the R33 is the car that has the understeer.

To me, the R32 feels a little more nimble. R33 is a mix of the R32 and R34, and R34 is just straight out a beast. I love the way mine is tuned and handles offline, online it sucks. I could go in depth about the difference, but that would be a whole long ranty page.

I cast my vote to the R35 even though your not counting it as a skyline, That thing is a true beast I easily beat lots of Germans on the Nurb 24h with that thing last night :D.

I haven't compared lap times, but the R33 is the most fun to drive in my opinion. And also the one that sounds best in cockpit view.
My second choice would be the R34 (edit: Actually I remembered wrong. I can see I have put the R33 and 32 in my favourites car, but skipped the R34).

No particular preference on my end as yet for a specific variant, but would say for all the complaints about PD's Skyline love, they've done the community a service by bringing the car to our attention. Nissan missed out when it opted not to import them to the US. The R34 would have sold like hotcakes to the same crowd that buys the Mustang and the new GM and Chrysler retros.

R32 > R34 > R35 > R33

Strictly in terms of preference, not performance. I'm not sure why, but the R33 doesn't do anything for me.
