talking about full cape ring.

First, it drags on, it's just a tad too long and it's surroundings are terribly bland. It's like a really tall super model with huge hands and a bald head - might still be a giggle in bed, but looks just wrong :ouch:[/QUOTE]

Rofl. Awesome response to my quote. Agree about surroundings, but too long? Circuit de Sarthe is just as long and the surroundings is just as bald as the super model described above. How bout the length of Nurb? - but I'll stop there as complaining about the Nurb is like complainoing about Natalie Portman's breath in the morning. :sly:

Honestly, Special Stage Route 7 would be a perfect track if it was, I don't know, maybe used.

Of course it's not going to be fun when it's just you racing it, or you and a friend.

But when it's full of Japanese cars ALL in the similar range doing 2, 3, 4...upwards of 12 or more laps...it's fun. Believe it or not, boost on low can even make things more competitive.

It all depends on the players and the style of players.

Both which lack tremendously.

Anyone remember GT3 and Complex String? Just thank PD for not putting that one in GT5. Only track worse than that is Nurburgring.

Some people say Cape Ring is too long? Nurb is not? I don't get it.

SSR7 is a waste of disc space IMO... Yay let's go really fast for a really long time! Zzzzzzzzzz... Its only redeeming quality is the fireworks. :) Using boost to make a track interesting indicates a fundamental flaw.

My favorites are SSR5 (& reverse), Deep Forest, Rome, Grand Valley, Cape Ring (any variation) and Autumn Ring... drivers' courses.

R2D2 or whatever it is ;-) I get irritated by the fake tracks generally. Not necessarily that they're not fun but because there're literally hundreds of real circuits that I could have been racing at :(

The only track I really hate is Suzuka East, and I love all the cape rings except the full version.

I love every real-life track Fuji,Suzuka,Nurb,Sarthe,Laguna,Indy road course,Monza, and Nurb-Gp And I hate,almost,all fantasy tracks(Deep Forest,Rome,Madrid.....)expect Gran vally and Londra!

Well I love all of the tracks. There may be times where a few tracks irk me, but for the most part it's a love love relationship. :)

If there were any that I didn't like. It would be some poor user created tracks. However, those usually turn out to be fun in the end.

All adds to the challenge...

There will be no more of that now

My most hated is probably Grand Valley. Its long, boring to drive, boring scenery, and WAY OVERUSED. When I was playing through A-Spec is seemed like every other race I entered was on Grand Valley.

My thoughts exactly on why I hate Grand Valley. I nearly gag every time I encounter it in a championship. :yuck:
I also hate the Suzuka Circuit. I'm not sure why, something about me just doesn't like that track. :indiff:
I really don't care for Circuito De Madrid either, long or short version. The scenery is dull and bland, and for some reason it just seems a bit lifeless and empty. I also don't care for the time of day that is set for that track. Early morning or evening would have been much better.

Still don't understand why Le Mans 2005 is in it. And Fuji, frankly, is far from favourite. I agree with those who say it just has no flow, no rhythm. Alright, corners which tighten up and make hitting the apex difficult are all well and good, but don't have one after another after another! And that extremely tight hairpin at the end of the pit straight is just unnerving, and makes for clumsy, accident-filled online racing at the start.

Still don't understand why so many hate the Valley. It's a brilliantly designed technical circuit, with a good variety of corners and bends, good flow, has one of the best first corner sections I've ever seen, is picturesque-verging-on-utopian. The only downside is that you can't have changing time (GT3's reverse course was in the late afternoon I think, and it was so nice).

I'm a massive Suzuka fan, but I kind of understand now why people might not like it. It is slightly unnerving in a way. High speed but demanding high precision, and expert judgement of braking points.

The only logic reason I can come up with is that PD were behind on schedule and needed a quick way to reach the "70+ variations" they advertised for a couple of years.
If you've noticed, it's among the last circuits shown during the development time (together with Trial Mountain, Laguna Seca, Deep Forest), and those all share quite poor graphic detail, "GT4-upscale" feel.

True. Grand Valley could have benefited from time changes.

The only tracks I truly hate are the non Weather/Time change versions of Le Mans 2009 Nurburgring Nordschleife and Nurburgring 24H
They just feel so dull and lifeless when put next to the Weather/Time change versions :indiff:

Tsukuba...Suzuka...and Grand Freakin Valley. Suzuka has been my nemesis in every racing game I've ever played. I don't care what car I'm in, or what game it is in, I suck out loud at it. Love watching the F1 races on it, but hate to drive it.

The Cape Ring series of tracks are dull, and some way too long. Tsukuba is too short and dull. They are the ones I hate most of all. :)

Fuji and Cape Ring

Pretty much the same as me. Fuji I can handle the older versions better, but don't like the F1 lay out at all. I also prefer real life tracks to the fantasy. Here is hoping for DLC down the line.

Tsukuba, because GT keeps shoving it down our throats.

Add Luguna Seca to that list too. It's in every damn racing game.

I hate London, it's stupidly narrow and annoying. It's like driving through the center of a city... oh wait.

Oh and...
Tsukuba, because GT keeps shoving it down our throats.
Yes. I don't mind this track really, it's too short for my tastes but I don't want to race it fro every event and championship.

But wait:
Add Luguna Seca to that list too.
Yes. I used to love Laguna Seca. I hate it on GT5 because it's thi most butt-ugly track on the game. GT2's version looked more accurate than this one. I love the track but hate how ugly it looks.

Laguna is pretty ugly. I enjoy grand valley and cape ring because they seem so much more lively and green. Laguna is cold and washed out.

I really hate Cote d'Azur. I seem to bump into too many invisible walls that put my cars to a complete stop.
They aren't exactly invisible, rather I hit the wall 2 feet before there even is a wall. I really like getting as close as I can to walls, but some corners on the track, it is hard to judge if I'm going to hit the "walls".
