Yes, I'm referring to the search option before you try to find a room.There is a PP filter....##EDIT: Oh you mean in search function
I understand that maybe it's more complex search and it will take more time ... but truth is I loose the same time searching through 100 rooms to find lower PP room for example.

Why isn't there a range of search options would be a better question, PP or HP included. Tires, drivetrains, length of race, grid options etc. How you can design a game supposed to be used by 10 million people and turn online into a random crapshoot is beyond me...obviously not beyond PD though:tdown:I just want to say that not making a filter for PP or at least HP while searching for your ultimate online lobby is complete rubbish. As said in another thread

Well PP is the most BASIC of search options because most of the players use it. And since it's basic for the game as a way to differentiate cars as a whole ... why not include it in online search? I'm repeating myself, hehe.

Voting for this might help get the word out. Shocking and extremely disappointing that this or a similar thread isn't on the front page of suggestions. Even more shocking and disappointing that they should need someone outside of the company and testers to tell them that it needs to be done. This is one of the most important and obvious things lacking from GT6 online behind lag/pit/connection issues.
Navigating and evaluating the online lobbies was terrible in GT5 and is even worse in GT6. It was improved somewhat in GT5 along the way so there may be some hope. I didn't notice this thread the one day I was looking at the suggestions. I considered making one of my own but of course it didn't happen at the time and then I forgot, so I'll add my vote to this one unless someone finds or creates one that is worded better that my search didn't turn up.

Because that would be too much common sense & usefulness for PD to handle, their heads would simply explode from being too helpful.
OMG You whiners stop whining, this is the best game EVAAA. They are working hard on it non stop, sleeping in the studio. It takes a lot of work to fix all the problems and give us new content. Thank you PD and KAZ! You are the best!

It's all about the common sense and measure... Whiners should not be so much whiners and fanboys should not be so much fanboys.
I'm not a hardcore fanboy but I do know that making videogames is not a simple, easy thing at all (because I studied computer science, and I just can't imagine how hard and how much work those ultra-complex 3D videogames of today require.

Another indication that PD had very little actual play time with GT6. A lot of the more common complaints would have been addressed had anyone bothered to play the game through in its entirety.

Well ... since we put what we have on the table ... I'm quite familiar with how games are created and also I'm quite familiar with code optimization.
Making a user friendly and helpful interface is not that hard, especially when you already had so much feedback and you more or less know exactly what most of the users want.
I presume that the only reason for not importing such search options is maybe the servers would become too clumped with requests and that will result in unacceptable search times.

This could be a valid concern... and yet the program is already checking for a variety of exactly the things we would be looking for, and simply returning that information in a non-usable form. Whether it would cause problems to get a specific answer to "what PP is this room limited to" or "what tires are allowed in this room" that is avoided by simply telling us "PP is limited in this room" and "tires are limited in this room" I can't know, but it does seem like it should be plausible.
If it was a brief wait, I certainly wouldn't mind waiting a few extra seconds to be able to know what I'm getting into rather than having to jump in and spend a minute or two before I find out the same things as is necessary now. Then again, I'm fairly patient.
I suppose such discussion would probably be better to take place in a suggestion thread to help keep that on the front page there.

Also another question.
Why sometimes when you refresh the search page you have like 10 results and sometimes you get more? I suppose it's based on ping but can't be sure.
GTA5 is complex not GT6. And for the thing it is supposed to be it is MUCH better and wasn't missing half of its features 3 months after release.
With GT6 they had the graphics, physics and sound engines done. They upgraded the physics, fixed up the UI, removed some features added cars and tracks and asked for $60.

First of all GTA5 runs at like 30FPS and 720P, huge difference.
Second, you can also say that every GTA (not counting the old 2D ones) is the same. I have GTA4 and GTA5 and they are very similar in physics and in graphics. You could say that GTA5 is a bit improved in all areas, and it is but well, it should've been expected, after no less than FIVE years after the other game's release. But still, Game mechanics are the same since GTA III for the PS2.
I would say both are great and complex to do in their own way. GTA has a huge map and so many elements, and GT has a huge amount of cars and tracks.

GTA5 is also frequently full of massive lag, player disconnects, disappearing on-screen objects and en-masse room boots. It also made people wait quite a while for the promised event creator, which is apparently still not finished(officially beta) and only works for races and deathmatch according to their newswire. It has been released however and is a very nice thing to have even as it is, many cool racetracks have already been made. I'm not sure if there is any other content that has not been delivered as promised as I don't stay up on the news and discussion like I tend to with GT. I do suspect GT6 was probably released before it really should have been however and so they may have run into unexpected problems finalizing some of the content we're still waiting for. Maybe they've even pulled some people off of working on that to try to correct some of the bugs?
GTA5 also has a horrible lobby interface with no way for people to communicate without mics when in a lobby, no way to mute a loudmouth or jerk who joins a room once you are in it, no way for anyone but the host to remove a troublemaker, no way to select the job of your choice after the initial creation of a lobby and no way at all to decide what lobbies currently hosted appeal to you beyond a generic "join race/join deathmatch" selection when looking to join one. On top of this, you are unable to even join rooms using a different aim-assist setting unless specifically joining a friend and have no other way to change that setting without quitting the online mode entirely. It can be pretty lonely trying to find races if you have it set to free-aiming mode.
Don't get me wrong, I quite enjoy GTA5 online when it's working well. It's just not some spectacular example that GT6 should strive for. Both games have their problems and both developers are hopefully working hard to improve at least some of them. I always felt the criticism of GT5's online was largely exaggerated(not that it wasn't far from perfect) because I have certainly played many many games that were done much worse and were less reliable. GT6 has some new notable issues that need to be corrected, but at least you have the option to browse rooms and control a wide variety of room settings... and at least there's text chat which should be mandatory in any game.
@f1webberfan -- You may already be aware but the "refresh list" button is a little weird in GT6, just as it was in GT5. It doesn't really refresh the current list, it just cycles through 4(at least it used to be 4 most of the time) different pages. It's always the same games in the same page, so however it decides to allocate lobbies to each server/whatever the pages indicate determines what is where. There usually seems to be one that is really full and the others are less so. I've often wondered why it is done that way. It does beg the question of whether you are ever seeing every lobby you could connect to though -- when GT5 was new and really busy it seems certain that there were many rooms that didn't fit into the maximum 400 you could see.

How does this matter? This is merely a hardware limitation. At any moment in the game you have unbelievably more assets visible than i GT6. Just run it on PS4 and it is a trully next gen game. Unlike GT6 with tracks from 1997.
What? Every game has its story characters and a TOTALY new environment to play in. GTA5 has the largest map of ANY game ever made. The graphics are MILES ahead of GTA4. Actually they are much better than most games (excluding the limitation of fps and resolution).
GT5 took 5 years and GT6 took 3 years, so in total 8 years and we are yet to see a finished polished product. And since you are comparing the two just HOW are game mechanics in GT games different since GT1 for PS1. Jesus they are even using models and sounds from PS2 in 2014.
How would someone even think to compare the multiplayer of those games is beyond me. One is a MMO in a HUGE world with tons of things you can do while the other has a multiplayer that was copied from GT5 losing some features on the way.

Well I'm not sure about that but it's an interesting topic, how many games do you see after refresh.
But is this 100% true?
Guys, GT5/6 are pushing the limits of the PS3! PD said that multiple times. In fact these games are about graphics not about optimization, which is very unfortunate but with GT7 coming to PS4 ... well that is the ugly truth.
And I do agree with @snoopybg - GTA5 is one of the most optimized big-scale games that I can think of for the PS3. Hats off.

It does matter a lot, because they dont aim so high in technical benchmarks therefore save tons of ps3 resources for other stuff... In other words, GTA graphics are clearly WORSE than Gran Turismo's.
Who cares, its a new environment and new characters, but the game mechanics are still completely the same. All the GTA's are the same but with a different story. Its like CoD.
I believe GTA San Andreas had an even larger map, at least it seemed quite larger and it took longer to travel from one place to another but meh.
Sorry but GT5 IS a finished product. GT6 then changed stuff and created new bugs, they need to fix them.
Sounds are different in every GT.
I've played on GTA5 multiplayer... it sucks, its horrible, plain and simple. Nothing to do, its like playing single player mode all over again, but you have online jerks here and there that can kill you if they're bored... its an online mode without rules, its like the jungle.
On the other hand GT online mode is far better because you got a set of rules and you got fairness, therefore its a neverending fun if you really like it.
