WiFi : Getting ps3 on wifi

This is going to sound extreme but, i would like to take my ps3 and a 7" monitor in my car to a local restaurant that offers free 802.11b Wi-Fi to download GT HD. I have a\c and limo tint, so security isnt a problem. 👍

The Wifi provider for this free like i mentioned earlier. so im assuming that all i gotta do is have my ps3 detect the connection within the 150ft of the signal and im in...or atleast i hope so.

My questions are
is wifi always "on"? or only during buisness hours?
lets say im about 15-25ft from the source of this restuarant wifi. what kind of download speeds are we talking about?
does weather affect connectivity\speeds? (like rain)

That depends on what speeds they offer. Either you ask, or you just try.

I don't know, but I wouldn't think it'd be noticeable if it did.

Weather does not affect connectivty or speeds. It might affect range, but neither of those two.

Give it a shot and see how it goes. That's that easiest way to figure it out.
