Line 440 should be -1. -2556 shows a 2.555 times power multiplier.

I believe you - it's happened before a few times. daan got a 2500hp Esprit - BEFORE he got an Xport. But I scrolled down to 440 straight away as the most obvious answer... :D

I've never heard of this one before. It would be interesting to see how many people experience this...

Yeah, here's the thread from the Times.

Missing Link seems to have found the answer (2nd last post of 1st page)

(And if anybody else says that's a bad cut and paste job, I'll slap you! :P )

i put 0 in line 440 of the ini file of a toyota yaris as i was having a little bit of trouble controlling the car done up on the game. i also put more grip then after winning the race i found that the car i won had the power multiplied perfectly i tried this on a race where you can win a speed 12 and got the car then found that without turbos it had over 20,000 hp i gave it a turbo and didnt bother counting just went to machine test and got incredible handling and speed (explain) also every car won after that today has had power multiplied

Any alterations done to the lead car in your saved garage are carried out on any car replacing it. So you put a 65.535x power multiplier (440=0) on the first car and every car you win or buy thereafter will have that power multiplier.

i see well that explains it then! excellent
so if u want a hybrid but cant be bothered to switch disks again just power multiply the first car and then win or buy a new one
