My times are no longer updating on http://gt.hobby-site.com - i'm assuming it's due to the message saying that sony's official site is not updating sint Sept' 30th. My best times have been in the last week. What is the point of a weekly ranking only? Viewable only in the game. Who really wants to get thier fastest time scrubbed every week? Sony need to get a grip.

Becuase GTHD is making way for GT Prologue...So I am sorry you feel bad that sony are wiping the slate clean, but I am glad they are putting there server power towards Gtprologue so that when we get it, we can have online mode.

I'm sorry, doctor-wilson, as my site derives the time/score data
from Sony's official site, so it is no longer updating...
But, if Sony starts posting GT5P leaderboards on it's Internet official site,
and if GT fans like you really want it,
I will support GT5P rankings in my website.

Yes it is an excellent site and utterly essential in my opinion as the weekly sony rankings are somewhat useless. I was addicted to the tuned 599 to try and top the board but now my scores last only a week I can't really be bothered playing it any more. It's pointless.

I believe the demo of prologue is out on the 20th of this month. If the ranking system operates in the same manner i'm sure porting the prologue demo times onto it would be very popular, especially as PS3 racing fans are eager to get the full game come next year.

I have never seen the sony ranking site. What is the URL for it?

So you weren't playing for fun?

I admit that comparing my leaderboard times was nice, but honestly that wasn't my goal in any game. I play plenty of games that I suck at compared to others, but it is still fun.

And if you want some competition or just time comparisons check out the ON-Line Racing forums here on the site. I don't know if they have one for GT:HD but they definitely do for GT4. If I want to judge how well I am doing compared to others I can just check my times against the ones in there.

I am sure you could start up one for GT:HD if you want. You won't be compared to the rest of the world, but I woudl be willing to bet some of the better guys are on this site.

Or you could just be patient for Prologue and show everyone how good you are head to head. That is what I am getting excited, and worried, about.
