Hello fellow drifters I have been using xlink for the last few days and have been trying to get some online drift sessions in progress but to my horro I have noticed that not many peep's on xlink or in to drifting so i thought id make the effort to try and start a link for ppl who are interested in joining me online for some drift battle's. I am willing to give some tech support on using xlink and getting ppl online and drifting. If there or any ppl interested in this please leave some feedback i will be here to help and get ppl online and drifting. Please note that only eroupean players can play each other and ntsc players can play each other due to the fact that both games are in- compatable with each other but i am still gonna help american eroupean players and asian players get online and drifting. we need to get a comunity going for drifting via xlink. well please leave feed back if interested and we will see how this go's if it fails then i guess it's not gonna happen so please guys make the effort trust me it is so much fun
 
Not many people on because of the lag =/ BreakerOhio and a few have demonstrated it with success :)
 
yea the lagg can be a bit of a ***** depending on the traffic in your arena if you password it and and have it set to 3 players you dont get much lagg 2 players is almost 0 lagg. so dont let this put you off.
 
I don't feel like stringing a 25ft network cable across the hallway. I'm sure my roommates wouldn't appreciate that either...
 
Im in, i got Xlink Kai, broadband (got capped on account which restricts the download speed but should be re-newed in a few days). I tried to attempt using Xlink but it didnt work and the ppl i was going to race with had 300+ping, i heard we needed less than 150ping rate.

Neways, im interested in drifting online and maybe you can give me a few pointers too.
 
I would be interested in drifting online but I've just ordered a networkadaptor so it'll take a while before everything works as it's supposed to. Btw, I live in Sweden.

sweeden is good anywear in eroupe is good for me the reason bieng that at great distances you have higher pings anything over 110 is to much lagg but sweeden is fine area. ps just pm or leave a message in this this thread when you have the equiptment. ps ps if you are not sure what you need to get set up for xlink let me no i shall tell you what u need. :) :) :)

👍 I'd be interested in having a drift session with you, however you are from the UK so I'm sure we won't be able to. In the Americas Arena I've been able to find a decent amount of interested drifters. It normally starts out as a race and I'll start drifting if I'm in the lead and that normally sparks some interest and we go into a drift session from there. I try not to mention drifting or push it, not too many grip drivers like it so just race it and slide when you can and make it look good to get some people to join you. :sly:

Thats pretty much how it starts. Ask to much from them and they try and fail and end up hating drifting.

👍 I would drift with u too if u werent in Uk...Yeah most ppl especially hardcore grippers hate driftin...unless u show them in front....i guess not that many ppl in europe drift....americas u can find some...if u look for le chat noir i know he drifts in france he is lookin for some comp....so look him up....the lag IS an annoyance but not a problem....you just ahve to think ahead and predict what the car will do...i have had success...well Drift on....Drift it if u got it....If u don't got it try it till u got it! Practice makes drifters

👍 Well thanks for the reply i know that there are some problems with gt4 online the sensitivity to lag on gt4 is just unplayable if i play any one outside eroupe and ntsc and pal versions are also non compatable with each other so we couldnt anyway as i said in my first post just trying to get a comunity of drifters in the uk and eroupe and would like to help any other guys from around the globe set up there comunitys. so far with this thread i have 1 from eroupe and ive met few ppl on xlink who i have got into drifting just by showing them the first turn on apricot hill :sly: in the bp falken rx7 but i gotta train them to drift sort of like doing lessons. as for mike le chat i have only seen him once on there so far hopeing to meet up with him again soon didnt get a chance to drift with though i was still setting up i wanna meet up with him so he can gimme some pointers i would say im an average drifter but he has godlike skill and would show me right up still wouldnt put me off. thanks for the interest and i hope to drift with you when gt5 comes out 👍 👍

Im afraid to say that me and you drifting online would be impossible but dont let it put you off. If you find any drifters near our from your country just pm me and i will help you get online and set up your own comunity 👍 👍
 
btw if any one has any contact details for mike le chat and he wouldnt mind sharing them with me could you please let me no. i would pm him just not sure how often he is in the foroums. if hes regular i will just pm him thanks in advance suislide

I sujest that you get in touch with breaker ohio and start drifting with him and his crew and i can not play with youy due to your loacation

well guys i think this thread has run its course its a shame we couldnt have had more intrest but what you gonna do. Anyway i and mike le chat noir have been doin some drifting and i will be apearing in his new vid i hope he doesnt mind me saying this. im so stoked and cant wait for the next vid.
