well its been a while since i properly used xp (other then at work where its using 1 program all the time...) but yesterday cleaned out an old computer (10 years old i think) temps droped big time but then i saw it was using a really old version of IE (only my parents really use this computer and thats what they seam to use) and i update it to IE 8 all installed well and it came up that i needed to reboot...it turned off..went through the POST but as soon as that has happened and all the scrolling txt from the mobo info (correct me if there is a proper name for this) it just went black..doesnt reset..dont boot just sits there black doesnt even get to the XP loading screen...Safemode wont load..any ideas of the cause of this?..well more any ideas of a fix to this?
also the "go back to last known good working configeration" ends up in the same situation
