:D for many of us in the States and a small ammount of european fellows we are happy to finally have a 3rdgen Fbody in Gran Turismo. All beit that this is a concept car it's still the chasis of an 88 Iroc-Z, but with a slightly modified ground effects package and a molded rear wing and reverse opening rear hatch.

:D :D :D :D I'm happy since I have 2, 3rdgen's of my own. 85 Camaro Sport Coupe and an 82 Z28. MAN I cant wait to get that camaro :)

Yes, That car has been known for a while now. Im hoping there is other 3rd gen type Camaros and Firebirds.

Anyways its cool that they included the 3rd Gen Camaro, but why the heck the concept instead of the real thing?

I never really liked Camaros. They always gave me too much oversteer or understeer. But i think i can learn to love them, now that i actually know how to tune.

Welcome to the boards :)

I believe that they included this concept car rather than the normal car was for 2 reasons.
1, it has some car history to it, not much if your not into 3rdgens. Its ground effects design led to the final appearnace package to the 3rdgen line in 91-92. And it is a very very very rare 3rdgen, even though a millionish were made this is the only one like this.
2, "it" is an acutal 88 Iroc-z, 5.0 or 5.7 liter Tuned Port Injection engine, suspension, driveline and chasis. The only differences are in the cosmetics and maybe some added aero advantage with that larger and higher rear spoiler. So we really are getting a normal 88 Iroc-Z just a slightly different appearing one.

B) It's an '88 concept, but based on an '87 chassis *The More You Know*
