Forza Horizon 4 Season Change: The Still Waters of Autumn

Colder winds and flying leaves herald the return of Autumn to Forza Horizon 4. Activities at the festival may be starting to slow down, but players are continuing their push to grab the latest rewards.

This week sees another opportunity to get your hands on a rather controverisal Porsche, as well as more prizes for 50% and 80% completion of the Festival Playlist.

Speed and Power

There’s one seasonal car worth going after this week: the 2019 McLaren Speedtail.

Intended to resurrect the spirit of the long tail McLaren F1, the Speedtail unsurps the P1 as the ultimate McLaren flagship. Not content with reviving the F1’s central driving postion and three-seater layout, McLaren has also made the Speedtail its fastest and most powerful road car ever. Under that slippery body sits a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 coupled to a hybrid system making 1,035hp. Find a long enough straight and the Speedtail will touch 250mph.

There’s a fresh Horizon Backstage Pass available if you’re after a car you haven’t picked up from the Festival.

The newest Photo Challenge is all about lights and Lamborghinis. #LightUpMyLambo wants you to jump into your favorite Raging Bull and snap a picture at the lighthouse outside Bamburgh.

Autumn’s seasonal championship prize pool features the Lamborghini Veneno and a 2013 Mercedes E63.

One prize to go for is the 2018 Porsche 718 Cayman GTS. Often seen as a sweet spot in the Cayman range, the GTS gives improved performance without treading into the territory of the hardcore GT4. The 718 Cayman has courted controversy by ditching the atmospheric flat-six for a 2.5-liter, turbocharged flat-four. Despite this, power is up to 361hp. Handling is also improved to keep the Cayman sitting at the top of its class.

To win the Cayman, you’ll need to win the “Modern Age” championship.

A well known Showcase Remix returns for Autumn as well. “Forest Sprite” puts you in the driving seat of an Austin-Healey Sprite for a race through the forest against a team of motocross bikes.

More Super7 challenges are waiting to be attempted this season. Complete all seven cards and a McLaren F1 GT is making its way to your garage

Finally, prove your big offroader can fly high, by earning 9 stars from Danger Signs to wrap up this week’s challenges.

Forzathon Shop

Mercedes rumbles into the shop this week, with one of its most legendary cars taking the spotlight.

With the BMW M5 running riot in the sports sedan market, Mercedes sent a W124 E-Class to tuning specialists AMG. What it created was a bruiser christened “The Hammer”. This beefed-up 300CE features a 6.0-liter V8 with an M5-beating 379hp, making it one of the fastest sedans ever back in the late 1980s. Despite the performance, the Hammer is still an old-school Mercedes, with handling behavior more like a muscle car.

The Hammer is a rather reasonable 299 Forzathon Points, and in return you’ll get an AMG Merc that still stands as a template for its modern successors.

If you want more hooliganism, and have little care for your tires, there’s the Ford RS200 Evolution. This particular version of Ford’s Group B monster has been given a once-over by Hoonigan.

Taking the already insane RS200, Hoonigan has tuned the 2.1-liter turbocharged engine up to a dizzying 750hp. The transmission is an upgraded six-speed sequential, allowing for higher speeds, while the suspension has been completely reworked to ensure greater handling as well as tire shredding.

At 101FP, the RS200 is a bargain, and will certainly put on a smoke show if you decide to show off your gymkhana skills.

Novelty items up for grabs include the Disco Chicken Suit and the Halo Theme Horn.
