Just notched up 1651st on the Monza X2010 jobby. Chuffed. How TF the leader lapped in 54.5 secs is beyond the tardy limits of my tiny mind.

Umm… am I the only one who thinks there may be a connection between the Toyota 86 video and the fact it is now in the OCD shortly before an announced update… *crosses fingers*

I so wanna get some decent drift pics of old and new… maybe they’ll premium the old one to go with it…? *dreams about things that’ll never happen*

Just noticed the initial d version of the Hachi roku is there too… please PD… pretty please?

P.s. my predictive text turned hachi Roku Into Haggis Romulus. Lol

So when will there be an event for Spa & the new kart track? I thought that would be next as for the online challenges.

MADMUPPGT,don’t let that guy put you down for playing GT5. I’m in my 30’s and have been envolved in actual real-life racing since a very young age. I now own several cars,2 of which are purpose built race cars. A 1,000WHP+ AWD Eagle Talon and a 500hp 84′ El Camino. I also have access to a state of the art machine shop facility and I myself am a NY State ASE Master Re-certified automotive tech. with background in all other aspects of automotive repair as well. Autobody,Auto Electric,Frame and chassis repair and fabrication, auto glass, etc…
So it’s safe to say that I definately don’t rely on this game to substitute real-life experiences. However I still manage to squeeze in several hours of playing the game on a weekly basis. It’s simply a fun game that can be enjoyed with others online. Sure,it’s a great alternative for people that don’t have the money or knowledge necessary to build or race a real-life vehicle. However it’s also pretty cool for the guy that does some real-life racing but simply wants to know what it’s like to take on Le Mans in a Ferrari F1 car,or the guy that wants to drive a 900hp Vette ZR-1 around Nurburgring in the middle of the night. The possibilities are vast. Even some pro’s utilize this game as a buffer for upcoming events that they want to stay sharp for. C’mon,as far as racing sims go this game has a lot to offer.

Thanks dude, Thats the point I put across, that the game gives you a chance to ‘kind of’ get an idea what its like to drive cars you wouldnt even see in the flesh most the time on iconic tracks…

and I’d like to close by saying ‘A 1000BHP Talon’ Sweet merciful jesus! How does she run?

Looks like the GSX-R is champ. I managed a 1:35 with it. Leader running a solid 1:30 on comfort softs, really? My god some of these Japenese players are gifted. As far as the X2010 goes, I put my best effort in and managed a 1:06. Leader running a :56 second lap. Good luck to all!

Not wanting to beat on PD again but why on gods green earth did they have to choose 1 of 3 tracks that they already used for the Vettel Challenge… again?! Why all this A-Spec rycycling if there are still so many new possible car/track combinations? I dont get it. Sorry but… lame.

    1. SimonK

It is absurd, PD will never stop making this stupid choices. I’ve already done an X2010 time trial around Monza, why would I want to do it again?

    2. MyFavoriteGame

More difficult AI would be super welcome! …and i don’t mind being in first place, but not by 10 seconds at the end of lap one…even in FGT I was way ahead…this shouldn’t be for a one make race

    1. Spiderman_Geek

You won’t have to. I beat the time by 2 seconds on my 2 lap. DS3 with all aids possible at max cause I suck with the X2010. It’s a super easy time trial.

  7. TP1

1,000+ real world cars in the game and they pick the most annoying and unreallistic one…for the SECOND time around!
    F YEAH!

    1. eminembeastfan2

JCARROLL everyone got one remember as vettel won the f1 or something… anyways he is right the x1 is annoying i mean what is the point of it and rammers… don’t forget bout rammers with x1 trying to crash people…

As a thirty-something I always feel a tad weird that I’m overjoyed knowing my wife’s out tonight and as soon as I get hone from work I can enjoy an evening sat on the couch clutching a plastic steering wheel as I pretend to race cars around in a computer game.
This feeling generally lasts for three or four seconds. Then I just grin like a child and look forward to it :)
    Monza in the X2010!!!!!! Excellent!!!!

I got ragged on by a guy at his bachelor party, “Ive seen videos and photos youve made” at first I was worried that certain nights from the past had come back to haunt me, he continued “these cars, Ohh look, Im driving this car, oh now I’m driving this car, look at me drive around this race track….all in a computer game, haha kind of sad dude”

I told him with pride that its GT5 and its not just the computer game side of things I enjoy, I love cars and photography… so here is something that allows 3 of my hobbies to combine. How many people can say that about something they enjoy (apart from Hugh Hefner and his hobby of ladies)

Still unconvinced he said “yeah but youre in your 30s now, surely its time to put the games away and settle down”

I replied with “look just because youve given up on life and got married doesnt mean everyone has too”

I was asked to leave and didnt get an invite to the wedding HAHA

    2. SmileyOr1

      lol!

At 50-something I’ll be joining you this weekend ;)

I got my start in my teens though. The cars were different (O’s printed out on paper around a track made of X’s), but the excitement is the same.

    3. Kayoss

I use to have the same issue too… then I divorced my wife so i can play my GT5!! LOL just kidding. I found my wife’s kryptonite. Whenever I want to play games, all I have to do is pop in a movie and pretend to watch it with her. In about 10-15mins she would be deep asleep. I go turn on my PS3 and Pretend that I’m a race car driver… Warning! if you try this method make sure to turn down the volume.

    4. MyFavoriteGame

@Kayoss – hahahaha….I do the exact same thing!! HAHAHAHA…cant believe there’s someone else out there who does that,….and here i was feeling guilty about it lol…funny thing is tho, my wife knows I do that….but she still cant fight it …poor thing lol

    5. kmg43

It’s the same with me. At 38 I get all kinds of excited when my wife and kid are out of town at her mother’s for a couple of days. I make excuses to leave the office early so I can spend many hours in my race cars. Typically after my kids bedtime I only get to race an hour or so. Kind of wish I could get her to take a little trip now…

    1. LobsterSausage

This! I love the thing and appreciate it technological beauty but, my God, is it hard to control! It has such a narrow threshold between not enough and waaaaay to much (steering).
