Cky

What do you think of CKY?

I'm going to see them is March.

Klostrophobic Jan 20 2004 4:39 PM

SuCKY.

Har har. But seriously, they are terrible.

LoudMusic Jan 20 2004 4:43 PM

Who the heck is CKY? Sounds like a Country group.

Klonie Gun Jan 21 2004 4:45 PM

CKY is an alternative rock group. They are fine. Just not one of my favorite bands though.

Dorifto Jan 21 2004 7:14 PM

I really like CKY...especially (I)nfiltrate (D)estroy (R)ebuild.

wee_man Jan 22 2004 4:18 PM

They're ok. I was hoping to see them not so long ago at their first venue they'd played in Britain, but tickets sold out a tad but quick :(.

CKY = Camp Kill Yourself, if I'm not mistaken.

They're pretty much what Klonie mentioned, I've only listened to one song from them though. :odd: "96 Quite Bitter Beings" off the THPS3 soundtrack. It's a pretty nice song, I dig the catchy riffs.

I've been listening to a lot of CKY lately. they are awesome.

Morlow Dec 16 2004 10:52 PM

Don't really like them.

CDailey Dec 18 2004 10:03 AM

I'd rather not listen to a band called Camp Kill Yourself.

IŒman Dec 18 2004 10:28 AM

Never really had a listen to CKY, and they dont seem like a band that I would like at all.

livemusic Dec 18 2004 10:40 AM

Never heard of it.

Listen to "Close Yet Far" - a beautifully melodic tune that doesn't fit the band name or most of their other music at all. I repeat, beautiful song.

I love CKY. They actually came to my college campus once, and we interviewed them on our radio show, The Banzai Ninja Porno Hour. Yes, we got away with the name. Myself and my fellow DJ got autographed copies of I/D/R, and just talking to them was one of the most thrilling moments of my life. Throughout the interview, we played tracks off the CD, and even had a contest - the person who could answer the most skate trivia got an autographed Element deck.

Good day, great band.

Silverzone Dec 23 2004 9:17 AM

Have you met any other bands? That is awesome. CKY is awesome.

Ten Dec 23 2004 2:39 PM

Pound came from my home town, and they were in once, but I wasn't a DJ then. Also, we had an Element skate demo in the student parking lot the same day CKY was there - though I had to leave early for work.

Wow so many people haven't heard of CKY...The brother of one of the guys off Jackass plays in it. Everyone go out and download "Beastman vs. Skeletor". The music video. So funny.

IŒman Dec 25 2004 3:22 PM

Its one of the Margera brothers if I remember correctly.

A friend of mine is going to see them then too, if i am not mistaken. :)
I have only heard a couple of their songs, and those that i have heard are quite catchy.
I have been told they are pretty good live too, although apparently (i might be wrong) once they thought it would be a good idea to make fun of Britain to a British crowd and it did not go down too well :p
