Attention to detail, thats me...lol, I should have specified Yes, it was the '05 I tested. You make a good point semvhu, and I'm probably not the best dragster out there either. Wiith times so close I can imagine half the people doing the same test will have the Camaro coming out on top and the other half have the Mustang. Different driving techniques/skills and setups are sure to have the 2 cars running back and forth wins. Not exactly real life, but interesting to see how the 2 cars compete in PD's eyes.
It's very interesting indeed. We should have our own sub-thread. As for PD's views on things, they gimped American cars. Have you SEEN the torque and power curves in-game for the Z06? It's shaped like a frickin' toothpick with only about 150 ft*lb of torque available at 1000 RPM. That is SO not anything like a real-world Z06 with no less than 320 ft*lb of torque on tap at low RPM.

Anyway, gimpness aside, I think I'll head home from work early today....

My fully tuned SVT will hit sub 10's (9.5xx to be exact) with its racing setup. I probably could get it in the 8 second club if I set it on drag settings...

Fully tuned? as in, hundreds of thousands pumped into it? erm? 30,000 real life limit. i aint no millionaire in real life.

Im sure an F1 car could get some low times too, but it costs more than 30,000.

If you got an SVT and 'fully tuned' it for under 30k however, congratulations.

ANYONE know the diff between a Subaru WRX STi and a Subaru WRX ProDrive?

i just saw the '01 Subaru Impreza WRX STi PRODRIVE in the used car line up, and i was wondering what the "prodrive" was all about.

i assume that it has some thing to do with the 4WD system? maybe some kind of ASM or something.

anyways if someone knows what the hell it is drop a lline and clue me in, thanks.

I'm thinking about getting into this competition as well, but is it allowed to BUY all components for a car, but not install them while racing? I don't think that makes any difference? I want to experiment with different exhausts for example.

Ok, I get it, so a 30k rollcage is a no-no. Lets see what the used car lot has in store for me..

Can someone start a 50k thread? io tried to, but maybe im not an important enough member to start something so similar to an existing thread. why not a gt4 drag forum to match the drift forum? As a preliminary for the 50k limit, i used a 97 impreza and got under 10seconds, 9.972. im sure better times could be achieved with some more concentrated buying etc. details can be posted if this turns out to be a good time.
