So start a new thread! There's no reason not to, and there's sure to be lots of entries! Sure, you'd need to keep up the leaderboard, but I'm sure you could do it.

i think u guys r loosing the point of this thread. its to see how fast ppl whith very little money can go! if you go raising the limit, then the skill and fun factor are lost.

I don't think that's losing sight of anything. Having the $30k limit is really cool, but I think other price categories are just fine for some varied competitions. Heck, I wouldn't mind seeing a $15k limit, $50k limit, $100k limit, and unlimited brackets just for kicks. There are plenty of cars in the game that would be fun to try, but because of their cost, we can't use them in this particular competition.

Branching out into other price categories would be fun, IMHO, and would spice things up a bit.

i'd like to see a $15k class. to keep is more focused twards driver skill.

of corse i would have to take part in a 50k and even a 100k class but i think i would have more fun in the 15k class.... just my thoughts.

Maybe once they're done at http://www.gt4times.com/ they'll have a drag racing setup. If not, maybe we can suggest something there.

Or we can just start another thread. I'd start a $15k thread, but I don't know that I'd have the time to keep up with it.

Now, should I do some more 1/4 mile runs, or should I go to bed? Decisions, decisions.

That's why my best times were with the best tires I could afford.

I started a new thread " $30K Tsukuba Challenge." The moderators should have it up within a few hours they say. This challenge should test handling over power so I hope you all give it a stab.

Sweet! I'll be looking for that challenge soon. I think I've given up on this 1/4 mile competition for now. I figure I wasted enough time on this; time to move on to something else I can waste my time on.

Yeah, good luck with that..
I created an extensive thread titled interational street car series based on that idea with the track changing every 2-3 weeks based on two classes 300hp. + 600hp, not price. (allowing for a wide variety of vehicles to compete against each other)
I had even layed out the default setups cars must have to enter (suspension, drivetrain, weight) whereas the method of achieving the power for the allocated class had no boundaries, just dont go over.

Unfortunately it was moved to a part of the site that receives a fraction of the viewing populae compared to the GT4 forums.
check it out anyways, even if just to have a read and evaluate my idea.

God forbid we actually partake in it...

Huh, that's interesting. It's odd that your thread got moved to another forum, yet this one got to stay.

So far, the couple of threads I tried to start simply never got posted.
