Soo...your telling me that this game Super-bikes riding challange.

Is the same as this game Superbikes TT II

I would believe that this is the same as this with a different title.
I see what you're getting at, I really do, but the fact remains that the games all come from different developers, and there are branding differences between different countries' releases. Suzuki Superbikes II is NOT a sequel to Suzuki TT Superbikes. It's just Suzuki paying someone for label space.

Anyone buying Super-Bikes Riding challenge (or as its known in the US Suzuki Super-Bikes 2: Riding Challenge) expecting to find the Isle of Man TT circuit is going to be rather disappointed, as its not in the game.
Scaff said this...I can't even confirm that Super-bikes Riding challange has actually been released in the US, besides the fact of it being called US Suzuki Super-Bikes 2: Riding Challenge as Scaff is suggesting. That is what I am trying to clear up. I don't have Super-bikes Riding challange and would love to get it!

edit...Suzuki Superbikes II sounds like junk and I probably will not be getting it.

He made this statement that doesn’t appear to be true.

These are two completely different games and not just a renamed for the US. Super-Bikes Riding challenge should be left out of this converstation as it has no relation to Suzuki TT. Am I wrong here?
No you're not wrong, the mistake is mine.

However my main point does not change, in that Suzuki Superbikes II: Riding Challenge is not a sequel to Suzuki TT Superbikes. As was stated by German Muscle.

there is actually a 2nd game out now.
Suzuki Super-Bikes 2: Riding Challenge

Suzuki TT Superbikes is a great game and deserves a great sequel. Suzuki Superbikes II: Riding Challenge/Crescent Suzuki Racing is not a great game in any way.

Super-Bikes Riding challenge is rated as a good game, but very hardcore in the physics engine, I'm yet to try it personally, but do intend to when I can pick up a cheap copy.

Thanks for clearing that up Scaff. Until I can find differently this would be the SECOND time the U.S. gets the shaft in motorcycle games. First with Riding Spirits II and now with Super-bikes Riding challange.

I've played Riding Spirits II (and the first one) and I have to admit it wasn't that great, the bikes never felt right and it looks bloody awful.

When I pick up Super-bikes riding challenge I will post up my opinion on it.

The original is not bad. Its the second version, not to be confused with a true sequal that apperantly seems to suck. Which one did you pick up?

Are you referring to Suzuki TT Superbikes or Suzuki Superbikes II: Riding Challenge/Crescent Suzuki Racing?

Not that it makes a difference as I have tried both, I don't pass direct comment on games I have not tried. Hence the reason I said "Super-Bikes Riding challenge is rated as a good game, but very hardcore in the physics engine, I'm yet to try it personally, but do intend to when I can pick up a cheap copy.", note this is not the same game as Suzuki Superbikes II: Riding Challenge, which is called Crescent Suzuki Racing in Europe.

I played Suzuki Superbikes II: Riding Challenge/Crescent Suzuki Racing at a friends house and quite frankly I found it a very poor game. Almost arcade is handling (and not good arcade), ugly in looks and nasty in the sound department.

Scaff, I believe you originally were correct and now you've got it wrong:

'Suzuki Super-Bikes II:Riding Challenge' as released in the US for $15.00 a couple of months ago is the same as 'Super-bikes: Riding Challenge' as released in PAL territories last year.

I too assumed when I bought it that it was the same as Crescent Racing but was shocked and pleasantly surprised to find out that it was the game I was really hoping to get.

So UnoMoto- go out and get this! We didn't get shafted this time!

I will say that it is not as good as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it's a very good game, but I was kinda disappointed in this one as I thought it would be better since it was from the Superbike 2001 guys. The framerate is a little low which combined with some poor audio makes you feel really disconnected from the bike. You can definitely tell that there is a great physics engine going on here but needs to be better communicated to the player. In the end I prefer PD's effort to this one mainly due to the polish that TT has over this one, but given a little more developement this game could probably be at the top of console bike games.

I'll start looking then. I haven't been on the hunt for many ps2 games lately. Thanks for updating us and my apologies to Scaff for any confusion I have caused.

Not a problem at all, given the sheer number of Suzuki branded games on both markets it doesn't exactly make it easy to work out which is which.

Thanks for that

I will certainly pick up a cheap copy of it now if I come across one.

However back on topic for TT Superbikes (as in the one with the full TT circuit) I have just come across the following piece on BBC news

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/6227331.stm

BBC
A sequel to a million-selling computer game has won company funding from the Welsh Assembly Government.

Jester Interactive Publishing Ltd will create a follow-up to TT Superbikes, based on the famous Isle of Man races.

The company, based in St Asaph, Denbighshire, said riders had even used the original game to get used to the course around the island's roads.

It is the first new media company to benefit from the assembly government's £7m Wales Creative IP Fund.

'Save his life'

The TT Superbikes game was launched for PlayStation2 in 2005, and entered the chart at number five.

It held a top 10 spot for four weeks and sold more than a million copies worldwide.

The game was so successful, TT riders used it to familiarise themselves with the famous Isle of Man course.

Clark Evans, director of Jester, said: "I know of two American riders who used to practise for two or three hours a day before entering the race.

"Afterwards, one of them thanked me and said the game had helped save his life."

The sequel, still in production, will boast five new tracks, as well as recreating the Aberdare Park road races, which are held annually in south Wales.

'Extremely competitive'

Mr Evans added: "The sequel will appeal to racing game fans, casual gamers and the existing TT Superbikes players who will be able to experience a fresh challenge with new tracks, bikes and features."

The Creative IP fund is managed by Finance Wales, a subsidiary company of the assembly government.

It was set up in April 2005 to provide equity investment for feature films, TV productions, new media and music projects.

Enterprise minister Andrew Davies said: "The creative industries are worth more than £750m.

"Companies such as Jester are excellent examples of what we are achieving in Wales within what is an extremely competitive global industry."
Looks like good news

Very good news. No mention of it being developed for any new consoles though?

Also, I sure hope it comes to North America again!
