I see what you're getting at, I really do, but the fact remains that the games all come from different developers, and there are branding differences between different countries' releases. Suzuki Superbikes II is NOT a sequel to Suzuki TT Superbikes. It's just Suzuki paying someone for label space.

edit...Suzuki Superbikes II sounds like junk and I probably will not be getting it.

However my main point does not change, in that Suzuki Superbikes II: Riding Challenge is not a sequel to Suzuki TT Superbikes. As was stated by German Muscle.
Suzuki TT Superbikes is a great game and deserves a great sequel. Suzuki Superbikes II: Riding Challenge/Crescent Suzuki Racing is not a great game in any way. Super-Bikes Riding challenge is rated as a good game, but very hardcore in the physics engine, I'm yet to try it personally, but do intend to when I can pick up a cheap copy. Regards Scaff |

Thanks for clearing that up Scaff. Until I can find differently this would be the SECOND time the U.S. gets the shaft in motorcycle games. First with Riding Spirits II and now with Super-bikes Riding challange.

When I pick up Super-bikes riding challenge I will post up my opinion on it. Regards Scaff |

The original is not bad. Its the second version, not to be confused with a true sequal that apperantly seems to suck. Which one did you pick up?
|
Not that it makes a difference as I have tried both, I don't pass direct comment on games I have not tried. Hence the reason I said "Super-Bikes Riding challenge is rated as a good game, but very hardcore in the physics engine, I'm yet to try it personally, but do intend to when I can pick up a cheap copy.", note this is not the same game as Suzuki Superbikes II: Riding Challenge, which is called Crescent Suzuki Racing in Europe. I played Suzuki Superbikes II: Riding Challenge/Crescent Suzuki Racing at a friends house and quite frankly I found it a very poor game. Almost arcade is handling (and not good arcade), ugly in looks and nasty in the sound department. Regards Scaff |

have any of you tried tt superbikes? The one that only has the isle of man curcuit? Id have to say that it is probably the best feeling bike game i have played(especially when you pop the rear tire lol). superbikes:riding challenge is pretty horible i hate to say(my personal opinion), i liked RS2 way better but mostly becouse of the moding and gran turismo like feel it had.'Gotta catch em all' lol

Scaff, I believe you originally were correct and now you've got it wrong:
'Suzuki Super-Bikes II:Riding Challenge' as released in the US for $15.00 a couple of months ago is the same as 'Super-bikes: Riding Challenge' as released in PAL territories last year. I too assumed when I bought it that it was the same as Crescent Racing but was shocked and pleasantly surprised to find out that it was the game I was really hoping to get. So UnoMoto- go out and get this! We didn't get shafted this time! I will say that it is not as good as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it's a very good game, but I was kinda disappointed in this one as I thought it would be better since it was from the Superbike 2001 guys. The framerate is a little low which combined with some poor audio makes you feel really disconnected from the bike. You can definitely tell that there is a great physics engine going on here but needs to be better communicated to the player. In the end I prefer PD's effort to this one mainly due to the polish that TT has over this one, but given a little more developement this game could probably be at the top of console bike games.

Nice...where did you pick it up at?
|

Wallmart like 2 months ago, or whatever week it was released. I've seen it at Gamestop recently as well.

I'll start looking then. I haven't been on the hunt for many ps2 games lately. Thanks for updating us and my apologies to Scaff for any confusion I have caused.

I will certainly pick up a cheap copy of it now if I come across one. However back on topic for TT Superbikes (as in the one with the full TT circuit) I have just come across the following piece on BBC news http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/6227331.stm

Governments handing out cash for games to be developed is indeed good news.
Much better that it going to some punk as a tax return. |
|
Thats some awesome news, Imagine if it had online. I'd love to have online battles on the Isle of Man track!

Very good news. No mention of it being developed for any new consoles though?
Also, I sure hope it comes to North America again! |
