this lucky guy gonna participate to the GT4 European championship

First off, a great result for Lucas Ordonez/Alex Buncombe, finishing 6th, and only missing out on 5th by .002 of a second

Here are a few of my picture's from todays race (race 2 is tomorrow, unfortunately I won't be there ) You are cheering the 350z No14

Lucky start for Ordonez/Buncombe, the number 5 Ginetta pulls off on the first lap with mechanical troubles.

Lucas starts to push, locking his brakes into Vale.

Lucas under pressure from the no.6 Ginetta of Fletcher/Abbott (they would go on to finish 4th)

After the mid-race driver change, and now with Buncombe at the wheel.

He really starts to put the hammer down, gaining on 5th by 1-1.5 seconds per lap, but it's not enough, and they miss out by .002

Great day, and good luck for tomorrow

It looks like Lucas Ordonez/Alex Buncombe will be having a great year, they finished 3rd in race 2

Now I wish I'd gone

Full race two results here
http://www.gt4cup.com/results.php

After two races they're in joint second place in the championship with 10 points

The second race was full of action and drama with 5 D.N.F's and 1 car disqualified

Dramatic start to race 2 official pics here

Unfortunately for Lucas, no. He's probably too old now and it would be very hard with the GT/endurance route he seems to be taking now. I'm sure there are many other factors too.

I think he has taken the correct route. He is "old" if you consider him a future F1 driver.
But, and this is my wish for him, I would like him to get to drive at LeMans 24H in the future and win his class! Age don't matter that much in GT racing, pure skill matters more. Just my opinion of course.

Awesome footage from the second race, he came off twice but he seemed to be pushing hard the whole time in true GT fashion, doing the series proud

Heads up, the races are on Motors tv tonight

FIA GT3 5:00PM GMT Ferrari, Astons, Lamborghini, porsche, Morgan
FIA GT4 5:30PM GMT 350z, Ginetta, Astons, M3's, Mustang, KTM XBOW, Donkervoort (probably spelt wrong)

@ zocker, you only need to put the letters and numbers after the = sign between the Youtube tags.

There's an article in the May edition of BBC Top Gear magazine on the GT Academy and also here. At the end of the article it mentions that Darren Cox (from Nissan) has promised that this years competition will be even bigger.

Oh, and that's me in the 6th picture down (second driver in, out of focus)

UK TV channel DAVE are repeating the program all about the competition itself every Saturday at 7pm. Quite interesting to watch.
