After not having touched GT4 for almost a year, I popped it into my PS2 the other day and was at once as gripped and immersed in the gameplay as on my first day. I had almost forgotten how enjoyable GT4 is, and the little flaws and quirks have if anything added to its appeal.

Although it shows that it's not a next gen title, the graphics are still holding up pretty well. Ok, sound' is not that good, but other than that: many loved original tracks, Le Sarthe and Infinion, Fuji... Easy and very straight forward tuning, no other nonsense just huge fun me against my rubber car AI mates.

My G25 is due to be shipped to me tomorrow, because this time I mean business

I agree. This is still an incredibly fun game, even after so many years.

Yeah man, GT4 is cool as. I sometimes have dreams of it. But ever since I learnt that lamborghini is going to be in GT5, I started dreaming about that.

A way to dream about anything is to play it for about 5 hours before going to sleep.
Your mind will trick you, that you are still playing it. It's like sleepwalking but instead you are playing gt4 and when you wake up you see that the ps2 has that little glowing red dot

I play GT4 way more than I touch GT5P. Not that GT5P is a bad game--it just doesn't hold my attention like 4 does. GT5 might finally make me put the PS2 aside for awhile, tho...if it ever get released.

A nice little script you run on your PC which throws up random car & track combo's to try.
You can have a bit of fun with it

After my G25 has finally arrived, it has added a whole new layer to gameplay.

I still have to get used to the FFB a bit, but other than that, it adds a lot to the experience and I enjoy driving all those cars I previously neglected.

Although I'm pretty used to the shiny graphics on my 360 (Dirt2 and Shift are just amazing), I can't help but be baffled: I still pop in old classics like Tekken3 or NES jump'n'runs but GT4 doesn't feel retro at all.

The G25 itself is pretty decent and I got it for a bargain, just a shame I can't use the H-shifter just yet. Guess I'll have to wait for March then

I re-bought it, and when it came in the post this morning, and I popped it into the PS3, I realised, the graphics are almost as good as those in Forza 3... Wow...

My PS3 wont play PS2 games. I've got the 40 gb version I got it in 2007. It plays DVD movies but not PS2 games
