I probably will for something different as Shift appears to be a love or hate game, and I have enough road racing action for my appetite at the moment and I've been a long time rally fan.
Then this is for you.Driving this with wheel is much more like driving rally, and thats probably why so many Prologue player hate this.Just a little bit 'lost' when needed to tame those slides?

Come on, buddy-is it really necessary to stroke your ego in a thread about a much-needed patch? Cars slide in Prologue, try setting the physics to 'Professional' and pick some street tires.

Sounds like a great patch, look forward to playing the game.

Im one of those VERY few who uses ABS 0 in Prologue+those 'street' tires. And clutch and cockpit, but where are those to race against who uses these settings?
Waiting for private lobbys
Use ABS 0 in Prologue and you find it more pleasant.Slower, but more sim like!

I'm sorry .... I thought this was about discussing a patch for Shift ?

I want to know when we can expect EA to follow through with their teaser

The official forum guys claim "End of November" as the release for the new patch.

- Improved car handling. I'd like to know what this means. I'm hoping it means Pro mode becomes a proper sim.

Don't hold your breath. It's most likely just a fix for all the handling "issues", not a complete makeover of the physics system (most likely, anyway).

But you don't know how much those "issues" were affecting the optimum of the engine. I know on games I've worked on, you can literally spend months tweaking complex aspects, finding what works, can be a bit "oooh, I've found a needle in the hay stack", but then you find another needle that you didn't know was there.

You guys really need to add more car power ratings to online play!
Some of my favorite cars have ratings higher than 14 but much lower than the cars in the unlimited category, that means I just can't use these cars online & be competitive.

At bare minimum I'd like to see races for level 16 & 18 cars.

Well, whatever the they're doing I wish they'd hurry the hell up with that patch!!

I just turned the game on this morning and found that all my game data, all my car vinyls, all my Carreer progress EVERYTHING had been lost, corrupted whatever... God! what a waste of time! I don't mind re-starting the Carreer mode, but I'd made some really nice car graphics. Spent hours on them. All gone... And to add insult to injury when I try to re-start the carreer it tells me all my garage slots are full! What crap people will put up with in the name of "entertainment"!

I like this game and I'll continue to play it, but I can tell you this will be the last time I buy a title from EA.

OP says, "We're currently working through the testing process so don't have a confirmed date yet; as soon as we do we'll update the thread."

That was on the 4th. It's not too far away.

I hope they do release it soon. I'd been having a largely bug-free experience till last night, when not only did I finally get the Corvette stuck on the grid, I then had my Exige go nuts and start spinning wildly in the very next race, I had an undriveable Carrera GT at Spa, and a neverending time lap battle at Silverstone in my Lamborghini. BAM! All one after the other!

It won't be far off, I have known for some title updates to spend a couple of weeks with Sony/MS QA.

I've sent the game back to GameFly so I could get MW2. When you guys post the patch, I'll buy the game.

I stopped playing the game 1 month ago and was thinking about selling it to a friend but if there's any news Andrew about the release date that would be helpful I might keep the game...it has been too much waiting and it's collecting dust
