I did a search, and couldn't find anything on this, if it already exists, then... my bad! :nervous:

Here is a video of GT5's spectator mode, which I found by accident whilst looking for something else. It's dated 30th July 2010 on Youtube, so it is pretty recent. What do you guys think of it? đź‘Ť

First time I see it in action, nice find.
Its a great idea, with 32 player server and only 16 racing at a time, you can have great championships and watch your teamates while you are not racing. Also it will be great for capturing footage. I hope you can go fullscreen without all the options and gadgets showing on the screen.
 
CoolJ posted it in the news thread. Searching for SPECTATOR, not in just the title, shows his post.
 
It would be really cool if you could freez the camera on one corner (of your choosing) so you can observe how everyone takes a perticular turn rather then just focusing on one car.

Altho this is great!!
Im just being picky. :D

Ahh man this feature is going to be great I can see it now, Running night races like Initial D with 1 on 1 battles and with 14 cars parked on the track, and another 16 people being able to watch the action, Online is going to be the real deal.
 
Does anyone know what the symbols at the bottom and the top of the screen mean?

On YouTube, in the description, it claims that you can save the replays, with one of the buttons, I wonder if you can take photographs too?

Im pretty sure you can online photo sharing has been confirmed đź‘Ť I guess when you save the replay you can go back and watch it and take photos.


Photo Album can be shared online, and the Online Replay Album lets players capture replay video from their favorite races and upload them to YouTube for the world to see.
· Players can create custom soundtracks from music stored on their PS3s to play in-game.

Most online racing games have this...Forza for example, if a race starts and then you join the lobby you can spectate.

Yea man I feel you, I'm just glad GT5 will have it. Having the ability to have 32 people to chat online is going to be great!

That was actually the footage of the GT Academy Australian National final,Grand final race for Silverstone. Red Car- GTP_DHolland, White Car-GTP_DEVIE, Blue Car-Joshmuggo, Yellow Car- Tezpez. Great race to look back on although I had a foul taste in my mouth for a while after lol.

It does but even if it was replay... look how many options you have...

I think maybe it could be replay mode (offline) and spectator mode (online)

Thats because his name will be on top of most of them.

This with youtube the possibilites will be endless , now all online races can be uploaded to Youtube and with the right editing skills people can make highlights of races and with GT5's stunning graphics they would look like real life races.:drool:

Imagine someone editing a race together.. I mean a real close race with appropiate music (to enhance the tension)... man I can't wait. I've seen amazing videos of people splicing together trailers etc..

And just for GT5 coming out...

Just think how awesome it would be to have a race done in the same way..

I managed to be the highest placed Aussie on London, I think he was 15th 16th sorta area? I could be wrong theres so many GTP_XxXxXxX usernames in the leaderboards haha.
