After receiving the stealth codes as a gift, I was quiet disappointed to learn that you can not tune the stealths to their full potential. When you enter the tuning shop most of the power up mods have a yellow exclamation point next to them. You are very limited in what you can actually upgrade for each of the cars.

For example the stealth Mclaren, this is after all possible mods have been upgraded.

Power 761bhp/7800rpm
weight 1100kg

as opposed to my own hard earned Mclaren

Power 827bhp/8400rpm
weight 970kg

the same kind of comparison goes for the rest of the cars, with similar results in each case. I admit that they do look cool with their stealth liveries however in the end there is no real point to them if you are seeking performance. I kind of feel a little sorry for all those who purchased them on eBay.

My apologies if this has been discussed earlier.

This goes for all RM cars, they have a lot of upgrades already. Can you imagne a stealth "racing" Mclaran with normal airfilter, suspention and such?

The thing about the stealth models is that they have the black paint job and they do not have to be purchased with in game credits.

Gimmick? I don't think so just something extra for those who pre-ordered or bought the more expensive game.

For those who buy the codes from E-Bay .. well they deserve what they get.

I've tried out my Camaro '10 with 473 bhp, against my other Camaro that has RM but only 460bhp... the RM trashes the modded one...

The RM is always faster, much faster. This is because of much more downforce in front and back. Great handeling and generally easyer to drive :-)

Yeah they are handy. I probably saved alot of credits by using these cars early in the game.

Then theres the super, super low cost of maintenance, 500 credits for chassis restore and and engine rebuild. That right there is priceless.

The Mclaren f1 stealth is pants if I could give it away I would !!! But the 787B stealth is the complete oposite, a drivers dream easy to drive and very very fast.
Gimmick ? maybe, I will wait untill I buy a standard 787 and time trial them both back to back to make the final judgement.

Really? Why? It's done great for me on many races...

I like the Stealth McLaren F1, easy to handle and got me through a bunch of races without having to grind in some car i don't won't. Also have the SLS and GT-R, those two are nice cars but the F1 feels better to me. Will have the NSX code by the end of the week but imagine it won't be much different than the GT-R and SLS.

The Stealth GT-R is a monster, amazing downforce and just a joy to drive.

The SLS is almost as much fun, but the greater curb weight hampers it a bit, particularly in comparison to the GT-R.

Scaff

I would love to have gotten the 787B stealth instead of the McLaren and the Nascar. Oh well that was not an option for me.

I got the Stealth McLaren... not really too fond of it... the 787b though... bloody hell, its AWESOME!

I love love love my Stealth SLS AMG. Such a fun car, and great handling. It basically floats around corners with no issues. 792 bhp.

500Cr repairs, as stated. Worth it just for that when training your Bobs. Also the McLaren can be used in a few lightweight races that blow away the competition. I love the sound of the Nissan. The AMG is a fun ride. The NSX is just bloody rare. Haven't messed with it much yet. The 787B and R10 aren't available in NA.

Oh yeah, the sound of the 787B is insane. Both on low rpm and the deafening roar when it's pushed :D

I think you just didnt break in your Stealth very well. Go do a few races and an oil change. Mine is currently at 799bhp but you are right on the weight, it looks like it cant be reduced any further.

I taught evertone got the same, clearly i was wrong. I was in love with a car earlier but now i have the 787b and......by god it's fast!!

Think you find there carbon fiber not painted black.

I got the GT-R, F1, Merc, NSX and the R10.
My fave is the NSX. Yet to tune the settings on it for my own liking but on a few test runs it was fantastic. The R10 is also a great machine.

I find it impossible to believe that in our advanced consumer culture there might be a company who'd use a gimmick to up-sell a base product.

Inconceivable.

Instead of creating a new thread about stealth cars, i thought id piggyback off this one.

Just wanted to ask to see what differences, if any, are they between the stealth cars and their counterparts. IE: Is there a difference between the Stealth NSX and say, the ARTA/Raybrig/Takata NSX (premium models from the showroom)? Besides the obvious, which is power, i dont think theres any difference between the models. I mean, they havent programmed in any unfair advantage in the stealth cars, have they?

The truth abouth stealth cars:

Mclaren F1 stealth and SLS AMG stealth both have a race car downforce (50/70 for F1 and 40/65 for SLS) which makes them faster than normal counterparts around most of the tracks despite stealths being heavier and having less power.

787B stealth, NSX GT500 stealth and R10 TDI stealth have all more hp than their normal versions when both engines are fully broken in. Weight and downforce are the same. So again stealth is better.

GT-R GT500 has more power AND is lighter than other same class GT-R cars! Same downforce. :)

And of course engine and chassis rebuilds only cost 500cr like Toronado said.

Don't guess the answers when you have no facts... 👍

So they're not the fastest. So what?

If you want a 5,000,000 hp SLS, build one from stock! The stealth cars are not necessarily about being at the top of their game; they're just ultra-rare, fun to drive cars.

The GTR GT500 is rubbish, understeer understeer understeer

All of the others are brilliant, though the R10 TDI is a bish to drive aswell

The NSX and 787B are best, then the SLS and Mclaren, then the R10 TDI and the bottom award goes to the GTR GT500, the R10 and GTR i find are pretty much unuseable compared to the other 4

Have you really tried to tune the GT-R GT500? You can do miracles with proper tuning I can tell. ;)
