Missing Car

There's only the one car with that registration, I believe it was repainted at some point early on but I think those pics are just different lighting. Like I said, there are lots of clips of it on Youtube, but sadly mostly trundling around or being offloaded from a truck etc.

The Red one was originally a normal road version. It was taken apart to supply the racers with parts and the bodyshell destroyed. Then Peter Wheeler decided to rebuild a car for a collector to own. Obviously with it's bodyshell long gone they had to use bodywork of one of the racecars, which as a side effect made the car handle better.

The Silver one hasn't been taxed since 2007, so is likely in a museum somewhere.

Back on topic, I want the GT-One Road Version,Jag XJ-15, Auto Union and Dodge Copperhead LM back. If PD can get hold of the Polyphony F1 cars (from GT3) and get them licenced properly even better! The McLaren should be easily obtainable (there's 3 McLaren badged cars and a Mercedes in GT5 already!)

Throw in the PT Spyder from GT2 and I'll be happy Vanishing Boy.

Yeah that was a nice looking car, a little like a Saturn but a bit more powerful? Came in a nice shade of gold/bronze IIRC

Ah good point, and I should've noticed the different vents etc. There was another TVR Hypercar on the drawing board too, shortly before they were bought out, but I forget the name. I will try to get pics of the early Cerbera 12 show version I snapped, and the Mk1 Speed 12 bodyshell on here.

The issue isn't with the manufacturer, but the F1 licence I believe, though PD skirted around it to some extent with the Ferrari F1 models. Some of the Formula GTs turn up in present and historic F1 liveries sometimes but the sad fact remains that it's all the same car, often the wrong shape entirely 👎

Polyphony 001/002 will do me then :sly:

The Standard cars (Roughly 80% of the lineup) are basically recycled cars from Gran Turismo 4. If you can recycle 10 different Mazda roadsters and a ****load of skylines, you can recycle the Damier Motor Carriage, Nike 2021, etc

-> Hmm, I kinda forgot the PD-developed 'mock' F1 cars from GT3:

Speed 12 Road/Race Concept -> The thing about this specific Speed 12 is, its way more sinister. Plus it brings me (and to other folks) good memories of the past. Such insainty, and that even the Cerbera Speed 12 can't match. :sly:

Concept Car -> I miss that thing, especially the tuned "Purple Eggplant" from GT1:

^ God, I love that thing!!! :dopey:

I miss the Auto Union Streamliner for sure, wouldn't mind a premium Auto Union GP car as DLC though.

^ Um, question...I'm confused between Auto Union cars, one is this and one from Terminator 2...please educate me! :dunce:

The Streamliner (from GT4) was used for speed records and the AVUS oval. The pic I posted was the "normal" Grand Prix car that the Streamliner is based on, the Auto Union C.

Needless to say the GP car would handle much better (relatively speaking ) as it doesn't have the wheel covers restricting the steering angle of the front wheels. :D

It's a bit off-topic as it wasn't in a previous GT game, but you asked, sooo... :D

Technically Kaz is a liar. He did say that ALL the cars from GT4 would be in GT5, in an interview.

He did not say maybe or that he would like to, he said they would be.

I think you're mistaking GT4 and GTPSP, as far as I know all psp cars made it in.

-> ...
If any of the selected cars above will be premium, i'm selling the game¡:scared:
^ Well thats a scary thought, I really don't care if they're standard or premium as long these cars return. :indiff:

^ That car was a quirky one, lol.

I forgot, was the Ford Puma ever in a GT game?
^ Yup, it was! It was the Zetec SE VCT, it had 125hp. :)

I want the Renault Espace F1 race car from GT2

HPIM0096.jpg
^ You're not the only one dude, I think even Forza fanbois loves this 'people carrier'. :sly:

-> Take note that there were 2 Espace F1's. The one featured in GT2 was primarily a working show car, and one was a prototype track mule:

The prototype

Proof?

Ford Ka is in GT5? I've got a black one.

Oh and I think Polyphony 001 was Schumachers Benneton. Not sure what 002 was though, probably Senna's McLaren again.
^ Nope, the Ka didn't return in GT after GT2. :(

-> I have no knowledge about the 002 since I never had one on GT3. :indiff:

I see the Opel/Vauxhall Tigra ice race car is missing from the list.

opel_tigra_rally_02_800x600.jpg

That car was good enough to beat the GT-One with GT's lousy AI!

EDIT: There was a racing Mini as well which was pretty cool as well. Looked like the one below but had a sign on the top of the car at the front.

^ Apologies on my end, I really don't pay attention on race cars. Since my interest towards them are pretty limited. I like no-liveried race cars thou. ;)

Ford GT90?

gt2fordgt90.jpg

No the Ford Ka is definitely in GT5 there is no doubt about it as I have a tuned red one.
^ After for some double checking, my bad!
