Guys, let me just say that it may seem I took that Severing fan fic pretty well, but I can't get it out of my head. The more I think of it the more terrified I get.

Reading Reconnection will make you feel better. I guarantee it. The Epilogue especially. You'll probably never look at the show the same way again (at least, I know I don't), but it won't bother you anymore.

All this talk about FF5 makes me think about using it again. I used to use it but my laptop ran better with Opera so I use that for my desktop too. Opera has no pony themes though.

I actually think Rarity is going to end up being the one who "saves the day," so to speak, simply because her teleportation problems are the thing that caused this whole thing (at least in Rarity's mind) and I like to overthink these kinds of stories. I don't think it will be just "mundane" teleporting, though.

Well,

If the story keeps escalating the way it has been, Rarity's chance to shine will truly be something to behold. I fully expect her teleportation to be solved so hard it'll put Twilight's magic to shame.

I've actually been wondering about a couple of more things as well. Namely:

1. What is the significance of Shimmerwood Forest? Just before they left Gildedale, Hammerhoof said to not expect your typical forest, and he also said that it would be more welcoming to Rarity than Dash or AJ (or something along those lines).

2. Does Dash suffer from the same affliction to cold as Firefly did when she was alive?

1. The name of the forest makes me think of illusions, which is something Rarity can already do quite well. Perhaps it's literally a forest of illusion, and AJ and RD will be utterly lost, while Rarity will be able to see through them quite clearly?

2. I'm actually fearing that might be the case, but then again, maybe the author was playing the angle that Firefly is so named because of her heat resistance- perhaps she was born with her cold weakness.

I must LOL heartily at all the spoiler boxes.

Possibly. I mean, I'm not really worried, because 13+ chapters in is kinda late to turn it into a GrimDark, but I must say that the thought had occurred to me.

That would be incredible. You've now put in my head a scenario where the trio are too late to save Twilight (perhaps, further acceleration of her affliction?), and Rarity throws causality to the wind and makes it not so.

They are already kinda screwed in that respect, if I'm reading the situation correctly.

IIRC, AJ, Dash and Rarity are still operating under the premise that they have two weeks to get the beneviolet; but a couple of chapters ago we were shown that Twilight's horn rot is progressing faster than Zecora initially expected.
