It looks like a humanized version of her gala outfit (or what's left of it... *twitch*). And her face doesn't have the dark marks around her eyes or the shaded highlights JJ puts on Gilda.

On the other hand, the picture is tagged as being Gilda and she does have the hair that JJ draws Gilda with and not the hair he draws Dash with.

In happier news, another recommendation. A Dark Sky. If you liked Two Beats, or at the very least like the tone/presentation of Two Beats, I think you will like Dark Skies.

Oh wait, it's the story which is based on that YoorPorick drawing. I definitely remember seeing the updates for that story being uploaded over the past few months. I was even tempted to read it after part 3 was uploaded, plus I never thought that A Dark Sky would be similar to Two Beats (which I liked), so if they really are comparable then I might be interested in reading ADS at some point.

You see, that's what I thought when I first saw that image, but the tags suggest that it's Gilda rather than RD.

It's nothing alike in content (nor, if I'm being honest, is it written as well), but it is similar in how it tells the story.

It pulls no punches when it covers the material it goes over, and it doesn't sugar coat the divide between what the story covers and what the show covers (and A Dark Sky forces the former to interact with the latter. That plays a major role in Dash/AJ's part in the story). I don't want to say "gritty" because that is a cliche to toss around, but that's the best way of describing it.

Someone link it here, I'm pretty sure(maybe, maybe not, somewhere in mid September or something, linked in this very place(searched post, didn't find it)), there is at least 3-4 sources that recommended that fic, yet I'm apparently incapable of making an stupid DA account to read it (too lazy and actually I don't need one yet).

The worst thing is that I cant read a damn thing, my time is being literally eaten.

It's on MaximilianVeers' e-Reader list. You could download it as a PDF and read it that way (which is how I did it, on my PSP).

It's not really something that can be posted directly on GTP, for much the same reason Two Beats couldn't (and then some).

I kind of assumed that it was gritty anyway (this was before I looked at the additional tags BTW), so I'm still interested in giving ADS a look soon.

Thanks, and actually browsing through that gallery there is a sheer amount of fics converted into PDF, makes me want to download moar(and actually give some use to my PSP apart from MH3 and MGS

However, did you read the PDF or the DA version?

I know, there is an illegal app to increase browser memory but meh is useless(compared to say an Iphone or any updated tech Cellphone or mobile device).

So, is 12 chapters, 95 pages. I bring this up because chapters/ED parts doesn't add up(12/4), but then it should be because I highly doubt that there is A Dark Skies and a different Dark Skies (without the A).

The author wrote the story in small chapters nested within each link (for example, the first "Part" of the story on ED has 3 Chapters), because each chapter is told from the perspective of a different character and/or covers a different set of events.

Was quite untrue. Big stupid grins can in fact get far bigger and stupider than they were when I initially said that at the halfway point. It's like concentrated amazing being directed straight into my brain.

I don't really want to end up shoving a load of fanfics into my "to read" list right now, but I might end up doing just that. I mean, there are quite a few decent stories on that list which I've found and read that no one else has mentioned in this thread, and there are stories that are mentioned in this thread which either appeal to my tastes, or just appear to be good stories in general (HoG). I will probably end up reading HoG eventually, although I said the same thing about Past Sins many months ago, and yet I haven't even thought about reading that story since.

Heart of Gold is like, a million times better than Past Sins. Summer Days is a billion times better than Past Sins. Out of that huge list of things I've read, only Ballad and TNTNE eclipse it.

And while the site seems like a parody, the christian fanatics have pull of worst things than that (technically one could argue that the christians fanatics goes after anything that is more popular than Jesus, as one of them did with John Lennon, the F:censored:r ).
