^ I'm no slouch in the snow either! Granted, I'm not Canadian but we get our fair share of snow here and I always seek out the biggest, emptiest parking lots I can find. :) The tracks I made are great Scandinavian Flick tracks!

Knowing how fast I'm going is one thing I've never been concerned with when racing. As long as the fast pedal is on the floor, I know I'm going as fast as I can! :dunce:

Inspired by the season, I recently created a couple fantastic custom snow tracks. if anybody would be interested in getting together this evening for some holiday AWD snow racing/shenanigans, let me know! :sly:

You should probably replace those with some unseasonably mild, dirt/mud courses... Gonna be a brown christmas in good ol' Indiana

^ Which is exactly why we need to have some GT5 snow fun!!!! I love the snow more and more every year. This is supposed to be an above average year for us in terms of snow, but so far we've pretty much had zilch. In the 40's today and supposed to stay there or higher through Xmas. :(

Ugh... I become more and more disgruntled by the snow, cold and gloomy weather every year. Doesn't help that when we have a big snow it usually involves me scraping up careless drivers that have been in car wrecks. 👎

Well, yeah, that would put a damper on things. To me snow means 2 things; pretty scenery and FUN driving! :)

Last year was enough snow, we had about 3 feet in 3 days, state of emergency declared, almost impossible to get to the grocery store. There was snow on the ground for almost 6 months. I am LOVING the mild winter this year.

# Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain #

Speaking of rain, I tried the Ferrari 599 on Sport Hards around Eiger, 100% weather 100% standing water, lmao even with TC 5 it was almost impossible to get around.

I do like to get in my share of AWD donuts and parking lot drifting.

MMMMMMMMM..............deep snowy goodness!!

^ The first time I did smth similar I almost panicked when the car started shaking violently on my way home, thought I'd broken smth. Of course it was the snow packed in all the rims. Good times. Still hoping for some snow this year, I'm on winter tires for like a month already, all for nothing so far.

With heavy damage, no ABS and some boost? :)

Snow driving?? Yuri has the advantage here surley. I'm down, should be a blast.

Also, how on Earth do people drive with the whole HUD off, I have no idea how fast I'm going. The speedos are usually too small to see. Maybe I need a larger TV, Jan sales comming up :D

You get a lot more practice than me man, London gets double or triple the snow we get here...:sly: Although I lived through some pretty heavy winters in Kitchener for a few years and still go there regularly:crazy:

I'll be on the road tonight to visit the Fam Damily so I won't make the festivities.

I want to extend to most of you a politically incorrect Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and to the rest of you a Happy Holiday season!! Looking forward to getting the Alfa Cup underway and launching the Lounge network along with it. The state of racing online in open lobbies is pretty much in free fall so it can't come a moment too soon!

With heavy damage, no ABS and some boost?

Well that would go downhill pretty quickly, wouldn't it?

I want to do some 2-wide snow drifting!!! :dunce:

All the best Yuri.

Care to elaborate on the open lobby situation?

I went back to BC2 to get my eye in for BF3 (my wife's present to me) and it is just full of idiots killing their own team. Did the Internet take a huge stupidity hit recently?

Change the tracks then, so that there are no downhill sections :sly:

I have a really good snow track, can non-hosts load a custom track?

The second comment should adequately explain your first question. :sly:

You've obviously been drinking this morning.

Yes, they can. 👍

BTW, ebay notified me this morning that Santa has dispatched his elves with my brake pedal upgrade! :)

You had to wait 5 days for them to ship it, no "A+++++++++ would totally use again" rating for them them.

Of course once you get it you will be so giddy with joy that the delay will be forgotten.

EDIT: Sweet, I'd love to give my track a bit of the spot light, if that is okay coach?

^ Well, they're British. What do you expec...............OOOOPS!!!! :scared:

We can for sure check out your snow track. I'd never had much luck with snow tracks but whipped up a couple really nice ones the other night. More for fun and sliding around than racing really, but should be good for racing too. :)

Please let us/me know how you like the mod Brandon. Considering it myself after you posted the picture of the springs, but I'm going to let you try it out first :sly: I've got to take apart my shifter too to fix a broken reverse wire so this would be a good project to go along with it.

^ All the reviews are glowing, lots of comparisons to a load cell pedal. The Inside Sim Racing guys did a review on it and have good things to say. Side note, if you watch closely you'll notice he modulates the throttle while braking, just like Yuri was talking about the other day. 👍

Hey I'm not British, I'm English. The order of awesome is.

In England here is how it works

If someone is awesome and English, they are English. (Nigel Mansell for example)
If someone if awesome, but comes from on of the other counties, they are elevated to British. (Colin Macrae for example is a British rally driver)
If someone sucks and is English, they drop down to British (Martin Brundle for example, it even says so on his wiki)
If someone sucks and comes from another country, they keep the title of thier country. (Eddie Irvine, yeah suck it Irvine)

^ Thank you for the clarification, I'll update my notes. :)

Lots of stuff included that wasn't mentioned in the the release notes.

I guess before I jump off the deep end, I should ask if anybody here does NOT have Spa? If everyone has it we can keep it on the schedule, otherwise it will probably have to be removed.

I have it now that the family pack is released.

Does anyone know how this DLC track change effects other accounts? If I bought the DLC tracks on one account and I switch over to another account, can I use those DLC tracks, or do I have to buy them on every account I plan on using?

They have a free family upgrade if you buy the cars or tracks. So yes you can use tracks on both accounts.

I added a couple holiday treats to the OP. :) I hope all of you guys and your family/friends have a safe and happy holidays, how ever you may celebrate them!

You need to be punished for your mispelling of the great Mcrae! :sly:.

If only he were English, then I would care enough to look him up, but alas he is only British. :guilty:

Enough faux pomp, I can't see Brandon's images at work, what are they?

If there is an English person and say a Scottish person in a competition, the Scottish person will always be described as Scottish until the English person gets knocked out of the competion and then they will be promoted# to being British. If they then go on to get knocked out, they will be relegated# back to Scottish

# By the English commentators.##

## The commentators retain the right to claim to be Irish should no other home country competitors remain.

:)

Show me him with a evil brit flag ive never once heard him be called that evil word he was better than that :p.

Edit: (For comment above) Andy Murray can suck it no one in Scotland even gives 2 🤬 about him :sly:.

The rivalries from back home seem to become comradeship over here. I guess we unite against the common enemy, Quebec!

What time is the snow driving going on? Any restrictions on cars?

^ I'll be ready on by 7:30 EST.

Let's start with 450pp AWD and go from there. :) We'll do it in the ORCA_Champ lounge.
