Classic cars you would like to see added to GT5 in updates.

I really want some classic F1 cars and touring machines. Some JPS Lotus F1s, Tyrrells, maybe going back even further to the Maserati 250F and Vanwall V12s, I don't think there's a sim out there with such cars. I'd also love some old Japanese racing cars like the (third post in a row mentioning this) KPGC10 like the one Gan-San drives round Fuji in an issue of Best Motoring (YouTube it), an RX-3, N1 and/or N2 AE86, even just more R32 GT-R racing cars, the 90's Calsonic is a good start, though. Oh and the R30 from GT2...

Been a while since i last posted here.

Anyways, here's to hoping PD will one day give us a DLC classic car package:

Any classic cars added to the GT5 roster would be welcomed by me . Autos of the 50's, 60's and 70's just have so much character. I would be much more excited about a classic car DLC than any newer models added.

My top contenders :
Aston DB4 GT
Bizzarrini GT Strada
Chev Corvette Sting Ray 427
De Tomaso Pantera
Dodge Challenger T/A
Ferrai 250 GTO
Ford Escort MKI
Ford Mustang Boss 302
Jaguar D-Type
Maserati Birdcage
Plymouth 'Cuda AAR
Shelby Cobra GT Coupe
Shelby GT500

Not a Wishcar, but a Should-Be-in-the-game-car :

Nissan Figaro : Because the Nissan Pao en Be-1 are in the game also. I really hope PD make this unique and historic car (the most successfull of the Pike-Factory cars) for GT5 or GT6, and because the fantastic interiour, please make it premium ! :)

Didn't go through all the pages but here I go...

Brabham BT46B

McLaren MP4/4

Saleen S7 Twin Turbo Competition package (Not classic but probably will be one day)

And all the Porsches that really should already be in the game.

The Mclaren MP4/4, how i wish for this car to be in GT5, i would drive it so much, drive around monaco for hundreds of laps.

A classic car I would faint over if it was announced is the beautiful Maserati 250F T2 works model of 1957 with the V12.

First of all, we need the GT40 in premium. Period.

Having said that, these are the ones I would most like to see. Wishful thinking I guess.

1. We need Porsche - Ruf's are fine, but there's no substitute for Porsche 917

Now that we have both Ferrari, Lotus, Honda, and Cooper it would be nice to see some old open wheelers:

Honda RA 300

Lotus 49

With the old F1 cars, we would obviously need the full Monza track with the oval. 💡

Sorry for the big pics.

+1 👍

I would say the Shelby GT500 Eleanor, Pontiac Firebird and Trans Am like the Kitt from Knight Rider I love them 2 classic famous cars

No mention of this?

And thank you for that 👍 Whilst all the 10 to 14 year olds are practically begging for Koenigsegg and god knows what other uninspiring supercars which basically offer an experience already being offered in GT5 (not saying I don't hugely enjoy the supercars already in the game) I'd like to take this opportunity to kneel down myself and beg Kaz to include these (or others, including vintage roadcars like the Bugatti Atlantic) pre-war machines as they'll offer something currently not in GT5 (or any videogame) and will be far more thrilling to drive than yet another 250+ mph supercar clone.
Imagine having some of these vintage beasts in your virtual garage, all in gorgeous Premium detail, and the sounds, oh the bone-chilling sounds.

I did even create a thread dedicated to vintage cars more than a year ago and why they should be added and it's not even my favourite period (which is more sixties to early seventies regarding cars) but I recognise they are something truly special and deserve a place in GT.
We need more classics from all periods but to ignore an entire period from the twenties leading up to WW2 isn't what a regular car encyclopedia could get away with.
But to hell with historic importance or filling in the gaps, these cars are simply a hoot to drive (at least that's what I imagine them to be) and for that reason alone some, if only a few, should be added.

Ford_Pinto.jpg

The Ford Pinto, just for the crazyness of having a car that explodes every time it's rammed.

That was all media hype. If you look at actual NHTSA figures, Nissans and Volkswagens of the time were much more likely to catch fire and the Chevy Vega experienced roughly the same risk as the Pinto. Hard data shows that the Pinto was no more prone to fire than any other comparably-sized car of its day and was actually much safer than most imports available at the time.

Hell, even the "infamous" memo that supposedly "only" valued human life at $200,000 was (1) not actually about the Pinto, but a response to proposed rollover legislation and referred to all cars produced in the US, and (2) used $200,000 as the value of a life because that's what the NHTSA (a government agency) was telling automakers to use at the time.

Basically, the Pinto fires are every bit as fake as the Audi "unintended acceleration" issue from the 1980's, GM's "sidesaddle" gas tank controversy of the 1990's, and the more recent Toyota unintended acceleration media circus.

I would love to see the following in premium mode
1960 Ferrari 250 GT 2+2
1962 Ferrari 250 GTO
1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona
1968 Dodge Charger R/T
1969 Yenko Camaro
1969 Dodge Dart Hemi
1969 Plymouth Barracuda "S"
1969 Ferrari 365 GTS4
1969 Ferrari Dino 246GT
1969 1/2 Plymouth 440 Sixpack Road Runner
1970 Dodge T/A Challenger
1970 Plymouth AAR Cuda
1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible
1970 Chevy Camaro Z28
1970 Pontiac Trans-Am
1971 DeTomaso Pantera
1975 Triumph TR6
1976 Lamborghini Silhouette P300
1977 Ferrari 308 GTS
1978 Pontiac Trans-Am
1985 Lamborghini Jalpa P350

Great list and would be great to see in GT.

Sorry to bring this up but Forza has most of those - love my Hemi Cuda the best but have many of those in my garage.
