Academy Edition DLC's and save data file

I have 2 questions about the Academy Edition.
Someone have it and can respond?

1- The DLCs coming on disc or a code to download it?
2- The save data of Gran Turismo 5 its compatible with this edition?

1. You get a code for the DLC's.
2. Yes.
3. No idea, would assume that it's in addition to, either way you wouldn't need your old game data file anyways, all the updates (since 2.07? not sure what version it goes up to) is on the disc.

No, it's not in my region. It's just info I found doing a search on here. My buddy does have the XL edition and everything works the same as the original, I would assume it's the same, why wouldn't it?

I have the Academy Edition, it is no different from the original GT5 except you get the voucher codes for DLC downloads and the code to take part in the Academy Edition challenge which opens in January and is valid until 31st January 2013. Once you place the game disc in it uses your saved game data and there is no difference at all. I already had all the DLC's so basically it was not worth getting, no idea if the DLC code will work seeing as i have them so will let my son use them once he gets his new PS3 (Dropped old one, lol)
