Hmm, I've heard that too, but I've also heard that is a common misconception - I've never seen anything to support it, other than logic, so I'm not too sure.

There's always been some pics of it from when it tested originally, BMW were never keen to admit to it though. Prior to last years outing I think it was falling to bits, and shoved in a corner, it definatley looks like it's been restored.
I do love BMW and BMW's, the M8 may well be my Unicorn

^ This pretty made my heart into jelly. As the 3rd best car I ever drove (E46 M3 Cabrio), this would be my #2 if they made it (or if BMW would fabricate it for me). After that, I will forget every BMW made after this one.

We all know of the Scigera thanks to Need for Speed 3, however I wasn't all so aware of the factory GT variant.

Ah that M8 is SOOO beautiful! Is that the legit prototype? I last heard that BMW didn't really want eyes laid on that car... it cleans up good!
I believe that was the legit prototype, and last year they did show the car again in some celebration or something in Munich. The reason the M8 didn't make it to the production line is because of safety and no market for it. They said it failed even in its prototype state... Now the car is well kept in what they called the BMW Giftschrank or in English means Poison Storage.

I only just learned about this ugly looking thing the other day, the Australian made Centaur GT. Apparently it was rather successful in its Australian GT racing, winning the 1962 season. I should have the chance to see one next month in action.
Engines were a Holden 202 with either a Repco twin cam head or a Waggot twin cam head. For those keeping up that's a pushrod to overhead cam conversion.

The Vector M12. When I found out about it years ago, I thought the company had died after the W8 turbo. Low and behold, come to find out they were at it again with this beastie. Can't say I was impressed with the styling though, and, given how long the car's production lasted, neither were too many other people.
