After much racing in the standard Ferrari at Suzuka global event, I saw need for a more accurate, and skill intensive event. This desire has proven to be shared amongst many racers, who wish for their luxurious brand new Ferrari's to handle differently than their 750PP race cars, and more like joining other Ferrari enthusiasts for a mature race on a world renowned track, where you can drive to and from the event in the same car you will be racing in.

Since not all four Ferrari cars in GT5:P can reach 650PP, the the ones that cannot can enter with their maximum.

The timing for this event will start as XX:03 / XX:18 / XX:33 / XX:48. Since the standard 'on the quarters' event is rarely full, the three minute buffer, rather than the two minute, will better divide the two events.

Although it is technically impossible to objectively prove that someone is not using racing class tires, it will be proved by your pitiful speed on the straights, and superman cornering ability. If someone is suspected to be using racing class tires, I would caution ratting them out in this thread, and prefer if people would PM in game, or send PM's on this forum. Thankfully, if people do happen to use racing class tires, they will be so far removed from the competition that it will leave the competition unaffected.

I'm new at starting events. If I missed anything, feel free to chime in and I will edit this post.

Good event. Gonna join you when I have my own quality-time.
Cant drive with S-tyres when my son is sleeping. DFP keeps too much noise when there is action... and with S-tyres... there is action all the time.

Is 512BB too fast if it would use R-1 tyres? I think if it's max is something like 630, it wont have a chance.

It might be possible, but I think we should start racing to see how competitive the cars can be. If the Cali and the 430 are dominating, we might make changes.

Update: changed wording in the first post to restrict PP to 650 or the maximum possible for that car.

Has anyone tried the F40 on S3's?
Well I have. :scared:
If this is a representation of the real car, on soft sports tyres - I guarantee there would be no survivors.

There's gotta be something wrong with the physics for this car, surely?

Not really, but the F40 is known to be very dangerous and hard to drive car. 👍

tried it once(F40) and it just cant keep up with the others(f430 and cali). At the moment im avoiding this event...played it three times and twice i've been bashed non stop by punters.

Humm...this sure sounds interesting. I am gonna try some of my tunes to see if it is capable of handling with S3 tires. Nice event change Tzayad!!! Very well thought and putted together! :P

So far I have a 2'08.9xx freelap time, so though the times can be competitive, it's simply too difficult to compete with the R1 racers. So I think that the members who want to have an S3 race should wait at the beginning.

I've heard that too, but I haven't heard that the F40 has no grip. Give me a reason why braking distances are so much longer in the F40, because I haven't heard it has crap brakes. I'm making comparisons with the California btw.

The California is full of computer aids and is bang up-to-date. The F40 is hardly at the cutting edge of technology.

I'd love to join in on this race, but there's no way the 512BB is competitive on S tires... The 512's tires are SO skinny that it has a tough time on R3s when rubber-band kicks in.
Wouldn't it be more helpful to lower the event PP to 630 instead of a "650 or the highest you can get"?

^ That's true. But as you can see this event is not very popular (yet atleast). I really hope that this gets more popular. The cars are just so much more fun and challenging with S3's. Then when/if it gets popular, maybe some adjustments will be done.

630PP would be a very good solution IMO aswell.
